Book review : The Mystery Mountains

The Mystery Mountains’ by Aurijit Ganguli is therefore the perfect amalgamation of a mythology inspired story that feels kind of familiar.

This is a story about resolving a centuries old mystery that takes Lisa and Arjun from India to Peru. It is about global safety with a touch of science and history. It is  about unfortunate circumstances and deep spiritual insights. Pitted against the great flood mentioned in many scriptures, the novel reveals that there may be a device that can neutralize or at least minimize the impact of the same, foretold to occur around 2030.

The story has a killer mystery vibe throughout the book, that evokes clue finding itch with well developed characters each with cleverly painted twists and revelations. The storyline follows an unanticipated direction, and that truly pays off making it a delightfully twisty read.

Guided by the wise ones of a pre-historic tribe of Peru, the series of revelations unravelling is beyond their wildest imagination. The concept and approach of the storylines are just discerning. It completely fades the line between what is real and what is fictional. It allows readers to decipher things from different perspectives to grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Dive into this magical realm and enjoy an adventure along with Lisa and Arjun and join them to defeat the global criminal forces, the multitude of heart-racing adventures and save the world.  It just sets you up on an adventure even without you realise it and then drags your curiosity to the end of the novel... perfectly managed! Highly recommended to the readers of adventure-thriller fiction.

Book review : Diary of a Whimsical Lover

Book review :

Diary of a Whimsical Lover is a beautiful and mature love 💕 story. Where they meet they love but they were confused and had other priorities as well. Along with these two, more characters are interesting and give life to the story.

A guy named Gaurav studies in Canada and later struggles for a job and life there. In between he comes across a beautiful girl Maya, who is also a student, but she is living with family, while Gaurav is alone there. Being Indians, they get to know each other. At times, Gaurav gets close to her while renting out at her home but the girl is different, I would say unpredictable and may be not thinking about love all the time as compared to the guy.

Gaurav is an introvert and  a philosopher. As an introvert, I can feel the emotions, he carries through with him. It's not easy to open up to someone, even if he falls in love. Maya, deep down knows that Gaurav loves her and she also have love and cares for him, but circumstances made them choose love or a career in their relationship.

The love is portrayed as soft and fragile as hope. Gaurav’s writing is lucid, at par with standards of soft romance. He successfully managed to kindle a spark of love through his innate language usage. The nuisances of trivial things, tidbit chats, tiny hangouts – all captured in a contemporarily style.

I loved reading this book full of rollercoaster of emotions. I recommend this book to shy silent people who fell in love irrespective of any outcome.

Happy Reading!

Book review : I am Sorry My Love

Book review:
Basically this book is revolving around protagonist Raghav Malhotra, He is a collage student and son of rich industrialist.

Suddenly one day changed is life when he falls in love with Siya at first site she is ( female protagonist) BJMC student .But, the girl already loves someone else. Woes Name was Aakash Sharma. Unable to accept the truth, his feelings turn to obsession which make him evil acts.

Love is a feeling from the heart, and obsession can be termed as a crazy feeling.

It’s not love, it’s obsession. Raghav is besotted with her to a point where he can do anything to own her. His maniacal pursuit of unrequited love turns him into a stalker... and then a monster, shaking the very foundation of trust and friendship.

We can see Rahul's sociopathic behaviour. He later changes but only after destroying anything which comes his way. I loved to hate him in this book. Atleast for the most part of it.

Felt bad for his friend Ruchika too. Kudos to the author for creating a story around a character who has different shades of gray. Not a goody goody types but someone who literally makes us cringe and get pissed off at their actions.

How far will he go to quench his thirst of possession? Will he succeed in his endeavour, or will he succumb to the vagaries of destiny?

Loved reading this book that teaches the basic difference between love and obsession.
Happy Reading!

Book review : The Swing

 Book review :

The Swing by Susan Dennis opens in the dangerous days of Detroit's 1980s gang wars, and spans the twenty-four-year marriage of a muse and a photographer - a man with an inexplicable illness, and an equally inexplicable lifelong passion for mastering the union of nature with a lens.
It is a beautifully written memoir of a long-lasting loving relationship. When that relationship is challenged by ill health and setbacks. This relationship defies the odds. I really felt for Susan and understood her self-denial. Her memoir will help many people facing similar obstacles in their lives.
From day one, Susan knew Charlie was special. His illness had made his life so difficult but he was such a determined soul. He found solace and contentment with his life through his art which was photography. You would never find Charlie without a camera in his hands. I found that such an inspiring way to deal with the cards he had been dealt, his pain and certain family members. As they grew up and overcame so many obstacles it was so refreshing to see the love, kindness, loyalty and determination this couple had for each other. The ending was 😭 heart wrenching so get ready.
I loved reading this heart- touching book and full of sacrifices done for one's love. It’s a beautiful story about love, pain, sacrifice, loss and determination. It’s poignant and heartbreaking and I was tearful several times but it’s such an unbelievable look into his life, his illness, and how it impacted their whole family.
I loved reading it. I am thankful to katerock @katerockbooktours for gifting me this book in return of an honest review.

Book review : The Rogue Spy

The book carries the outstanding characters who is aware of the way to dig up deep into people's graves irrespective of how a whole lot they may be hidden and such characters combined together resulting in a group has made this book a super Thriller.

The story revolves round Adhira Shekhawat, a courageous, aspiring, devious and dangerous female officer. Adhira is a rogue spy. She has her own team called Patagon involving the world's best hacker, weapon maker, information handler, resource manager, etc. She is assigned a task against the form of enemies that no person dares to sign up for, however she works tirelessly together with her international professionals to carry down the enemy and shop India from the upcoming hazard. When you study this book, you will experience that the entirety is going on in the front of your eyes.

The story also displays the love between a spy and a RAW agent, their complex relationship and how their different ideology and methods of working effects their personal bond.

The plot is quite interesting from the beginning till the last page. The author has done a incredible job in portraying the characters and events so amazingly. The way they try to penetrate the terror plan , the strength of characters is vivid. It's well penned and attractive cover page enthralls the readers to read it.

I really enjoyed reading this mystery and will recommend this to all without doubt.

Book review : Spellbound

Spellbound weaves together ancient magical traditions, psychological research, and the latest neuroscientific discoveries, in order to bridge the gap between the conscious and unconscious mind.

The unconscious is wild and untamed, often leading us down self-destructive paths that leave us baffled by our own decisions. Spellbound helps you take a new path: one where you learn how to recognize the influences of the unconscious, and make it an ally in helping you become the person you were meant to be.

The first section of the book explains the unconscious and how it shows up in daily life through both mundane and mystical experiences. The second section of the book explores various magical traditions and how the unconscious is at play in these realms. The Jungian psychology perspective of the marriage of the conscious with the unconscious is explored in depth in the latter half of the book. Finally, chapters on meditation as a manifestation of the conjunction offer interesting insights into what unity and or magic may look and feel like.

The author not only brings these things to the table, but also integrates different cultures, religions, and philosophers together to illustrate how this integration can occur, including Christianity, Buddhism, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, and others.

A fantastic book that fills a void in current literature to explain some of the more mystical aspects of the world we live in.

I am thankful to netgalley and the publisher for giving me this marvellous book in return of an honest review.

Book review : The Seventh Cup

The Seventh Cup is well thought mystery that presents the clever idea of mind transportation. This is a story that mixes romance, drama, amazing scenarios and surprising characters.

It all starts with Avinash and Verona. At first they seem mere strangers meeting in a café. Somehow, he introduces her to the idea of mind transportation. And then, reality and fantasy start to mix. While we try to figure out what happened with Verona we discovered some unsettling trues.

The story does feel like a visual delight at times and quite obvious with the backdrop of Goa and Switzerland. Also various literary elements employed by the author feels encouraging in the world where people write just because they can. Also the best part about the story is it is not rushed . The traits of human like obsession are intricately presented.

Author is a good storyteller. Well staged plot, twists, turns, and fun along with gripping narrative build interest steadily. It amazed me how perfectly the author used 'the law of attraction formula' to build the story. Such a wonderful mystery novel with some theoretical notes on the human mind and brain which I enjoyed thoroughly. Be prepared to get some knowledge boost.

The book  is filled with elegance, writing is very smooth, gliding from funny sequence to mystery was very enjoyable. Loved reading it immensely and looking forward to more books from the author.

Book review : Where there's smoke, There's Liars

Book review :

The book narrates a new perspective one cannot ignore or run away with it. It truly narrates a story which illustrates we get, what we deserve.

The main point I took away from this book is the power of social media. The book highlights how people often believe things, that have no truth behind them, just because others do. The author tells a story of the consequence of believing in fake news.

The characters in this story are thrown into a situation that tests their morality. It is kill or be killed, succumb to cannibalism or starve to death. This really got me thinking about society and what happens when all social order collapses.

The author has well crafted the characters and guided what can happen in adverse conditions and need to value the true gifts of God to us and relish it. Rather believing in fake news and troubling your present. The way the story takes twists and turns is really inexplicable.

I loved the way the plot is crafted and making things crystal clear through a story is marvellous.

I am thankful to kelly @lovebookstours for gifting me this incredible book in return of an honest review.

Book review : Mukhota

 Book review :

This book is a collection of 89 poems. All of the poems are pretty raw. The author carefully constructed each poem in a classic style. At times, the author has endeavoured to present the audience with some deep insights. The poem's ingredients are straightforward, but they are enthralling. Some are good, but others are outstanding.

Although short in size the poetic composition, the style of writing and the language used are basic and clear. These 89 poems in the book states a purpose about intriguing aspects of life. My favourite ones are mukota, trimurti , naya daur, waqt , soch and many more.

Cover of the book is simple designed in a descent manner but attractive apt title to draw one's attention on first go. The author has done a marvellous job in instilling a new perspective towards life. The book acts as an eye opener and absolutely interesting to read. The poetry introduced a distinctive allure to the content which made the study extra first- rate and enamouring.

Loved reading it...a must read!

Book review : When it falls apart

Brooke’s life is a mess, and I found it easy to sympathize with her. Perhaps that’s because Brooke’s tumultuous relationship with her father, as well as her being solely responsible for the care of an elderly relative, hit close to home for me. I couldn’t stop my heart from aching as she struggles to balance the needs of her ailing father with a desire to have a fulfilling life of her own—all the while fighting rightful resentment. Brooke’s strength, devotion, and ability to set boundaries are admirable.

The mood lightens considerably when Brooke stumbles into Luca’s world. Brooke wasn't looking for love when she first laid eyes on Luca, but she sure found it in a big, hot Italian way. Luca was lost in his own world of juggling duty, responsibility, and family when Brooke completely swept him off his feet, as well.
Despite both of their past and present trying life circumstances, fate seems to now be on their side as these two perfect for each other love birds' pair off and get their HEA. A great cast of supportive family members and friends certainly helped them along, too.

Catherine Bybee's new book has everything that will make a book epically fantastic 🧡🧡 Heartbreak, emotions, charming Italian hero, cute adorable kid, heartwarming love story, drama, and one big Italian family that thinks food cures everything. I loved Brooke and Lucas love story to bits. This book is not just romance, it is a journey about trust, patience, and being strong.
A definitely must read !!

Book review: The Malevolent's Mark

This book is a story of 1921 historical kingdom of Camelot where Birdie Smith lives as a thief trying to make a new life for herself after losing her memories. The magic system is slowly introduced in a way that makes it easy to comprehend, yet complex and intriguing enough to make for a great story!

Birdie is a siren and a thief, which suits her just fine. But when she's forced into a marriage she doesn't want, everything goes wrong. She steals from the wrong man: Sir Gawain, and finds herself dragged into a quest to find a sword if she wants to clear her name. As the past she's forgotten rises to the surface, including someone capable of controlling her through a mark, she will have to understand who she is and what she stands for if she wants to survive the journey...

When characters from her forgotten past start to catch up with Birdie Smith, she finds herself torn between two sides of a fight to save her kingdom. struggling with her lost memories to decipher whom she can trust, Birdie is rediscovering who she is and trying not to let her heart lead her astray in this unique twist  with a unique mix of futuristic and historical settings.

In addition to the overriding theme of history’s wheel-like pattern, Ripley'touches on different emotions such as trust, love, friendship and the right to life. This is a towering science fiction work, but Ripley’s messages are deftly delivered behind a humorous, engaging future.

I highly recommend this epic fantasy story full of plot-twists that will blow your mind! If you love adventure, love triangles, and magical worlds this book is for you!

Book review : Ikagai

Inspiring and comforting, this book will give you the life-changing tools to uncover your personal ikigai. It will show you how to leave urgency behind, find your purpose, nurture friendships and throw yourself into your passions.

The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well

This delightfully illustrated book gives you the lowdown on this transformative approach to life and examines how the lagom ethos has helped boost Sweden .

"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way."

This book answers some basic questions as to why some people keep doing what they have been doing for years tirelessly even though it's the same things over and over again, say, actors, writers, bloggers, artists and so on. Why do some people never get bored or frustrated repeating doing the same things over and over again?

Overall, this book is truly uplifting. I was intrigued by the simplicity and calming tone it offers, and it captured my attention till the end. The book unleashes the Japanese Zen philosophy, inspiring the readers to search and discover.

Book review : Lolita

Lolita is a story of a small town girl from tamil nadu who sacrifices everything in her desire to become a star. She was offered a chance to enact in one of the movies of Sandy , the director. But something is to be rendered to get fame in a small span. Same goes with her. She delivers everything she has to reach the heights of fame and eventually is tagged as a bad girl or a whore.

To calm herself and step out of ongoing chaos of her life , she takes refuge in panchgani. Where accidentally she meets Advait. He is a well level handsome rich person whose wife committed suicide and he was trying his level best to be a responsible and loving father at any cost.

Their meet eventually turns into a roller coaster of so many events that led them into bafflement of deciding what matters them utmost. Advait after his wife's death was lonely and now falls in love with seducing lolita. On the contrary , lolita has never met a genuine guy who respects her because of her and not because of her fame and money. She longs for true love and could not resist herself from loving Advait.

The author has incredibly casted the characters and as a fast pace read, The book intrigues the reader till the end. It's worth reading that what will be both of them's decision. Will they continue their love and mingle each other or will leave each other for their previous commitments.

The uphill and downhill story of a girl and her consistent efforts of holding herself upright apart from the worst conditions really relates to many actor/actresses. This book is a commendable read and good for a movie. This is my first book from the author and I am looking forward to read more from the author.

I loved reading this heart-touching romantic read and would recommend thus romantic tale to all.

Book review : Dear Barack

The book gives a clear image of two political leaders whose friendship shaped the twenty- first century. In this book the author has deeply traces the friendship of Obama and Merkel in meticulous detail with charming anecdotes and expertly places their bond within the historical contexts of other world leaders.

In the early chapters of the book the author shares the details of the family background of Obama and Merkel and the different situations that lead their personality traits and a strong foundation. She has laid emphasis of all the facts of how Dr. Angela Dorothea Merkel became the first former East German Chancellor at the age of 51, the youngest.

While Obama real rise to political fame came when he delivered the keynote speech at Democratic National Convention in Boston in July ,2004. In His "Audacity of Hope " speech , he passionately argued that there's not a liberal America and a conservative America , there's the United States of America..... Slowly progressing, he became the first Black President on November4,2008.

Faced with the challenges of globalization, the two often clashed over policy, but—as the first Black president and first female chancellor—they shared a belief that democracy could uplift the world. United by this conviction, they would forge a complicated but inspiring partnership.

In the Obama -Merkel working relationship, the biggest point of contention concerned the economic crisis or the Great Recession which began in December,2009. Obama and Merkel differed in one notable way: the waybthey answered journalists questions during press conferences.

A story of camaradie at a global scale- Dear Barack shows that it is possible for political adversaries to establish bonds of respect and even friendship in the service of the free world.

I learned a lot while reading this fabulous, well researched and full of facts book that gave me a clear image of the hardship and problems faced by political leaders on a world wide scale performing their responsibilities.

I loved reading this book and would recommend this historical book to all.

Book review : Endings

The book starts with the loss of the protagonist son and how her life takes twists and turns after the death of her son. She has to face the worse conditions of her husband in coma and the medical bills piling up and she is left with a little.

Her financial conditions and her loneliness changed her totally. She swelled into the path which she can never redeem. Her journey of becoming a serial killer from an innocent homemaker was heartbreaking. This reminded of many hollywood movies.

Following this path she learns about a serial killer so horrible she vows to find him and kill him until - overcome by self doubt -she seeks redemption rather than vengeance.

The author has well written the journey of the protagonist clearly depicting her love for her family that changed her into emotionless serial killer. But eventually somewhere virtue of humanity was still alive.

I loved reading this thrilling book and would recommend this book to all thriller book lovers.
