The Maze of Beliefs: A Journey to Divine Truth by Hector Cantu Kalifa

The Maze of Beliefs: A Journey to Divine Truth by Hector Cantu Kalifa

The book's slogan, which emphasises the significance of divine presence, serves as a reminder that the divine is present among us on this planet.

The book starts off with a query regarding the spiritual meaning of life before moving on to praise and discussing how we might develop spiritually by adopting divine traits like forgiveness.

While maintaining the message universal for all seekers and rooted in Christian religion, the book deals on deep issues such as faith, truth, doubt, forgiveness, baptism, and fraternity. The voyage is made even more expansive by the thoughtful remarks and scripture references that are expertly balanced, even making parallels with contemporary thinkers like Stephen Hawking.

The author uses examples and Bible passages to demonstrate his beliefs and experiences with many philosophical topics such as faith, belief, lying, brotherhood, baptism, and so on.

Overall, the examples serve to enhance and strengthen the author's thoughts and viewpoint. It's a good book for learning about Catholicism from a new perspective.

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness by Deekay

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness for Combating Overthinking, Achieving Stress Relief, and Attaining Absolute Peace  Deekay | Book Review

Taming the Turbulent

What is turbulence? Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise.

To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths were removed. I could feel the real reason to practice yogic meditation.

"Taming the Turbulent Mind" is a perceptive and useful manual that provides beneficial techniques for developing a quiet and serene mind in the middle of life's turmoil.

In this book, the author presents a reviving manual for developing tranquillity and care in the present turbulent world. Drawing on the immortal insight of yogic customs, Deekay joins antiquated rehearses with present-day pertinence, making the lessons available to readers at all degrees of care practice.

I learnt about the 24 principles of PRAKRITI, a systematic dissection of material reality. Deekay shares how the wisdom of Samkhya can guide us in the practice of meditation, helping us traverse the path from ignorance to wisdom, from a limited sense of self to an understanding of our infinite nature.

The book's core strength lies in its reasonableness. Through appealing stories, bit-by-bit contemplation strategies, and noteworthy experiences, Deekay enables readers to deal with their inward reactions to outside anxieties. His techniques range from amateur agreeable to cutting-edge works, guaranteeing there is something for everybody, paying little mind to related knowledge with contemplation.

Deekay's composition reverberates with the rhythm of ageless insight, welcoming readers to stop and reflect. His illustrations—most notably the moral story of the two birds on a tree—draw from the significant supplies of the Upanishads, introducing duality as both a test and an aide. The transient bird of activity and the peaceful bird of perception reflect the strain in present-day everyday routine between receptive experiencing and careful mindfulness.

The book's design is both available and significant. Deekay deftly winds around private stories, functional procedures, and philosophical bits of knowledge into a consistent embroidery, causing complex ideas to feel substantial. His way of dealing with Viveka—the insight between the fleeting and the timeless—sparkles as a foundation of the text, offering lucidity as well as a feeling of freedom.

The book very well exemplifies the lessons of different ways of thinking, strict text, and so on.

For somebody who doesn't actually rehearse yoga or contemplation, I barely had any information with respect to the subjects referenced in the book, with the exception of the little thought I got from my spiritual training book.

Be that as it may, in the event that you think this book is just about yoga, reflection, and achieving edification, I should say, it isn't. It talks likewise about the importance of teaching and rolling out little improvements in life for directing energies towards better, more certain, and satisfying parts of life, prompting a critical change in mentality and way of life.

Other than that, every section was finished with an outline. In any case, there were sure things that I thought were dull and didn't add a lot, superfluously adding length.

Overall, it is a captivating and engrossing read.

The People in our Lives: Everyday Psychology by Dr Gagandeep Kaur

The People in our Lives: Everyday Psychology by Dr Gagandeep Kaur

People in our Lives
In the bustling city, every person is seen running after daily chores they are engaged in. Even I find myself doing my routine jobs and reading books. Amidst all these, I am curious to know the psychology of human beings and how they get to know each other better. To explore my interest, I grabbed "The People in our Lives: Everyday Psychology" by Dr Gagandeep Kaur. I get startled by the content of the book that contains concise but varied explanations of the human psychology.

The book narrates the vicious cycle of birth and death. The author vividly shares her belief that we all have a soul and our body is the medium to go through the cycle of life and death. Every person is adhered to fulfil his karmic cycle irrespective of his religion, caste or creed. In each cycle of birth and death, there is a new opportunity to learn how to live our lives better in that particular epoch.

I learnt the reason to study life. I get to better understand ourselves and those around us and to live our lives in a good and productive manner as opposed to just passing our time on earth before we die.

The author shared the 8 Stages of Development Theory. These stages were:

1. Infancy

2. Early Childhood

3. Preschool

4. School Age

5. Adolescence

6. Young Adulthood

7. Middle Adulthood

8. Late Adulthood

She guides how Each stage shapes our life in terms of growth and development. Different stages in our lives have different needs. Relationships do change, and each relationship has a different perspective on viewing things and matters. What seemed extremely relevant at a young age will no longer be of much concern a few years down the line.

The author vividly explains that at each stage, individuals face and ideally master new challenges, which Erikson called psychosocial crises. Successful resolution of these crises leads to the development of a healthy personality and the acquisition of basic virtues.

A life well lived should also have an equally dignified death. Death is inevitable. It will happen to all of us. If a long, happy life has been lived, then death should be seen as a joyous event—a passage from one lifetime on this earth with a certain set of souls, filled with love, until it is time to return to our Maker.

We fear death because we do not know what comes after. No one who has died has come back to tell us about the afterlife. There are many accounts of life after death, but what if those are just figments of someone’s imagination? That said, no one has ever seen God either, yet we all believe in a higher power. We love Him and pray to Him.

Personality is not something we are born with. Instead, it is a combination of multiple factors:

Genes, Parenting style, Early relationships, Physically attributed, Education and Experiences.

The best part of the book is that I get to know the top 5 best personality tests of 2024 as:

1. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

2. Big Five

3. CliftonStrengths

4. DISC Profile

5. Enneagram

The author has shared her personal experience and guided in a vivid and evocative manner about the psychology of humans. Her vision to understand the personality of any person makes it easier for readers to learn human psychology.

Highly recommended!

Write a Million Dollar Book in 10 Days by Neeraj Singhvi

Write a Million Dollar Book in 10 Days by Neeraj Singhvi | Book Review

Million Dollar Book
Do you ever stare at the blank page, thinking about how to write a creative piece of writing? I did many times. Even after my book was published, I was still wondering how to write something exciting. Then I stumbled upon a book, "Write a Million Dollar Book in 10 Days." It became the answer to almost all my questions.

“Every secret of a writer’s soul, every experience of his life, every quality of his mind, is written largely in his works.” ~ Virginia Woolf

This book makes you stride by stride through composition and independently publish your own book in only ten days. Indeed, ten! From conceptualising thoughts to hitting "distribute" on stages like Amazon KDP, Singhvi separates the interaction into scaled-down, significant pieces. What makes it special? It's not just about composition—about making a book work for you, both innovatively and as a business.

Singhvi's style is like visiting with a savvy, well-disposed mentor. He avoids the language and keeps it genuine. The models and accounts? They're gold—appealing, entertaining, and exactly what you want while the creative cycle feels overpowering. I will concede, however, that a few sections felt a little surgy, similar to how he was too eager to even think about getting to the following part!

In this book, I learnt many steps to keep in mind while you write and how to make your efforts work for you as a business too. The author guided me about the genres, how to frame the outline, finishing, touch, checking for errors, writing a foreword, and many more.

The author has well penned the steps in a lucid manner for any beginner to understand and plan out his steps. His personal anecdotes and experience added a personal touch as if a senior is guiding the path to your success.

I learnt a lot from this book. I recommend this book to all aspiring writers for a better start. Do grab it!

The Stoic Path to Wealth: Ancient Wisdom for Enduring Prosperity by Darius Foroux | Book review

 Book review:

"The Stoic Path to Wealth" by Darius Foroux gives an interesting point of view on monetary accomplishment by mixing the old lessons of Emotionlessness with present-day standards of establishing long-term financial stability. The centre of Foroux's message is that abundance creation isn't simply about amassing cash but rather about dominating oneself, especially one's feelings and attitude, even with life's vulnerabilities. He contends that an unemotional way of thinking, with its accentuation on normal reasoning, discipline, and profound versatility, offers an immortal structure for accomplishing monetary flourishing while at the same time keeping up with true serenity.

Foroux starts by looking at how feelings, particularly dread and eagerness, can undermine even the most thoroughly examined monetary plans. He describes his own insight during the 2008 monetary emergency, where close-to-home choices prompted huge misfortunes. This individual story makes way for his contention that profound control is fundamental in monetary issues. He points out that the capacity to stay cool and reasonable during times of market instability is what isolates fruitful financial backers from the people who capitulate to frenzy and unfortunate navigation.

The book digs profoundly into apathetic ways of thinking, especially the works of Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. These scholars instructed that while we have zero control over outer occasions, we have some control over how we answer them. Foroux applies this to money management by empowering perusers to zero in on factors inside their control, for example, their ways of managing money, speculation methodologies, and chance resilience, while tolerating the innate capriciousness of business sectors. He underlines the significance of long-haul thinking, recommending that abundance ought to be constructed consistently over the long haul, with persistence and discipline, instead of through an unsafe, momentary hypothesis.

The writer structures the book around three central dealing standards: putting resources into yourself, tolerating misfortunes, and intensifying your abundance. Every standard is investigated inside and out, offering perusers a guide to monetary achievement, yet in addition direction on keeping up with genuine serenity all through the excursion. The book presents a few effective money management procedures, like the 90/10 rule, all outlined inside the setting of an emotionless way of thinking.

One of the champion sections, "Important Abilities Are Superior to Cash," features the significant job that abilities play in accomplishing independence from the rat race. Foroux smoothly contends that improving one's abilities is more significant than collecting riches, as it gives a supportable edge in any market.

What separates this book is its capacity to associate apathetic insight with the real factors of the present monetary world. Through narrating, viable exhortation, and clear direction, Foroux effectively merges two divergent universes.

In general, the book is a magnificent asset for anybody hoping to explore the monetary scene with an emotionless outlook. Whether you're a fledgling financial backer or a carefully prepared supporter of Emotionlessness, this book offers significant bits of knowledge that can change your way to deal with riches.

Living while Dead by Chattanathan D | Book review

Book review:

"Living while read"  is a spellbinding read that incites the reader to introspect and find his actual self. The story dives profoundly into the human condition, investigating subjects of misfortune, love, and the quest for importance.

Nathan's excursion in this story spellbound me all along. As Nathan remains at his dad's memorial service, the feelings that flood through him are substantial, and his snapshot of heavenly fellowship with the Ganges is both significant and delightfully composed.

What struck me more than anything was Nathan's decision when offered incomprehensible gifts by the Goddess Ganges. Rather than picking influence, riches, or timeless youth, he looks for something undeniably more significant.

This choice features the profundity of his personality and the qualities that drive him. The creator capably investigates how this decision influences Nathan as well as waves through the existences of others, bringing up provocative issues about what it genuinely means to carry on with a significant life.

The story provokes the reader to contemplate our decisions and what we esteem most throughout everyday life. It's a strong update that, in a world frequently determined by eagerness and power, there is still space for generosity, compassion, and the quest for an option that could be more significant than ourselves. This story isn't simply a tale around one man's mission; an excursion welcomes all of us to consider our own lives and the inheritance we wish to abandon.

Chattanathan, known for his reminiscent narrating, makes a story that mixes the profound with the useful. His composing is both beautiful and open, directing readers through Nathan's quest for importance in a way that feels both significant and interesting. This book welcomes readers to ponder their own lives and the main thing.

The design is direct, with an unmistakable start, centre, and end, yet it's the excursion that is significant here, in addition to the objective. The profound setting of the Ganges and Kashi adds layers of importance to Nathan's excursion, causing the story to feel both grounded and supernatural.

Generally, this book is a profoundly moving investigation of human feelings and the quest for a daily routine very much experienced. I wound up pondering its topics long after I got done with perusing. A must-read for anybody values thoughtfulness and the more profound implications of life.

Secrets of Endless Youth| Ways to remain young | Book review

Secrets of Endless Youth: Mastering Longevity, Health & Vitality by Dr. Rohit Dhingra

Book review:

In today's fast-paced world, it is all too easy to overlook the importance of prioritizing one's health. The demands of work, family, and other responsibilities often take precedence,  leading many to neglect their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Yet, the wisdom of the Vedas reminds us that true fulfilment can only be attained when we prioritize our health and vitality. By nurturing our bodies, minds, and spirits, we create the necessary conditions for a life of abundance and happiness.

The message of the Vedas resonates deeply in our modern lives, reminding us the fulfilment of the importance of embracing our individuality and prioritizing our health. Each person's journey through life is a unique and precious gift, filled with opportunities for growth,  fulfilment, and contribution. By honouring our uniqueness and cultivating our well-being, we can unlock the full potential of our existence and live lives that are truly meaningful and enriching.

Many of us live in a world where we revel in indulgence, relying on the constant supply of goods and the assumption that nature will always provide us with the digestive power necessary to consume them. This self-indulgence is often seen as a manifestation of intelligence and freedom, with enjoyment being considered one of the primary purposes of life. However, it's crucial to recognize that exceeding our limits can result in a loss of our ability to truly enjoy life.

Limits are inherent in all aspects of life, whether it's the obligations we face daily or the capacity of our bodies and minds to endure our actions. One of the most significant limitations we encounter is our organism's capacity to handle the consequences of our intelligence. We must acknowledge and respect these limitations, as failing to do so can have consequences.

When we exceed our limits, nature often steps in to remind us of our vulnerabilities. Disease,  for example, is nature's way of forcing us to slow down and rest. Despite our desires for well-being well-being freedom and autonomy, nature operates on its own set of rules. It cares for us deeply, but it also expects us to recognize and adhere to our limitations. When we stubbornly refuse to heed nature's warnings, we may resort to drastic measures to get our attention.

This can manifest as prolonged illness or other forms of adversity, serving as a stark reminder of our responsibility to care for ourselves and respect the natural order.  The concept of freedom versus responsibility is a recurring theme in this dynamic. We must acknowledge that true freedom does not mean unrestricted indulgence but rather the conscious choice to limit ourselves for the greater good of our well-being. This may involve  making small adjustments to our behaviours and habits each day to avoid

Modern research increasingly supports the benefits of these ancient practices. Studies show that Ayurveda, yoga, and spiritual practices can enhance physical health, reduce stress, and improve mental well-being, contributing to a longer and healthier life. The mysteries of health and longevity are deeply interconnected with our  choices and lifestyles. Our fragile bodies prompt us to value health and strive for well-being.

Living life fully doesn’t mean we have to get old and sick fast; it’s about finding joy and balance. The secrets to a long, healthy life lie in a good diet, active lifestyle, and spiritual well-being. Indian traditions provide a rich source of wisdom, emphasizing balance and harmony. By embracing these principles, we can live healthier, longer, and more fulfilling lives.

The book is an effective aid that distils the embodiment of well-being relaxation into significant stages. This short book fills in as a fantastic asset for anybody hoping to improve their way of life through straightforward, reasonable changes.

The creator skillfully covers a scope of subjects, from nourishment and exercise to psychological wellness. Saint Richard Parker by Merlin Franco | Book review

 Book: Saint Richard Parker

Author: Merlin Franco
Genre: Self- help, Spirituality
Publisher: Barnett Publishing
Rating: 4/5

Book review:
"Saint Richard Parker" is a story with themes of love, growth, and enlightenment. Follow the protagonist, Richard Parker, as he navigates through a particularly rough patch in his life.

The quest for Nirvana takes Parker to several countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to name a few. The book is written with subtle humour which is highly entertaining. We find that the author has pointed out the ironies and vicariousness of religion with a skillful pen. He points out the defects in almost all religions and the book is not a critique of any one faith.

Parker's life hits a turning point when his corrupt boss discovers his misconduct and fires him when he thinks his career is about to climax. The journalist begins a self-realization journey, rethinking his spiritual and romantic life.

Beyond self-discovery, the book appeals to travel, food, and culture enthusiasts. Merlin Franco adeptly intertwines cultural norms and politics, offering a nuanced perspective beyond tourism. While the well-researched travel references captivate, unfamiliarity with Indian culture and regional nuances may pose challenges. I found it hard to understand several references in the book.

Through Parker's journey, I got real-life-like experiences of the Hindu culture and religion. Also, this story teaches valuable moral lessons about integrity and work ethics.

With plenty of lighthearted humour and satire sprinkled throughout, author Merlin Franco demonstrates a remarkable storytelling ability. I especially enjoyed Francos' writing style and skill of character development, both of which kept me deeply entrenched in the story throughout. A great read for all ages, genders, and cultures!
