An Anthology of the Best Ghost Stories From Bengal Multiple and Barnali Saha

 "An Anthology of the Best Ghost Stories" is a haunting collection of Bengali culture and tradition. Despite not belonging to the place, I was able to feel the horror and fear amongst people. It helped me visit the ghostly tales of women in family histories.

It comprises 15 stories written by different writers. Though all the stories made me feel the essence of supernatural powers and the lingering echoes of history, I liked "The Jack of Hearts", "The Road Ends Here", "Burnt Turmeric" and many more.

The haunting narratives are complemented by vivid descriptions that transport readers into the eerie landscapes, especially of rural Bengal. The authors have meticulously blended the emotions of people with the fear of ghosts. Each author has made this essence of horror palpable.

Overall, this is a haunting collection of Bengali ghost stories. It made me recite the name of Shiv Shambu all the time while reading this book.

 Whispers In The Water: A Chilling Horror Story by Bidisha Bhattacharyya | Book Review

The short collection of horror stories in Whispers in the Water manages to deliver a powerful blow in just a few pages. The three stories are a compilation of truly reading but spine-tingling tales that are sandwiched between traditional, straightforward horror elements—including haunted lakes, voices of the dead, and weird mirrors.

The way the characters get involved and depict their presence of mind in weird situations is commendable. The characters indirectly share valuable life insights, making the story more interesting rather than merely haunting.

Even silence feels heavy because author Bidisha Bhattacharyya infuses an undercurrent of uneasiness into relatively regular places. I found myself holding my breath unconsciously because of the writing's sharpness and the seamless way the tension is introduced.

Although "Whispers in the Water" is brief enough to read in one sitting, it is thought-provoking enough. It is a collection worth exploring if you enjoy ambient horror with a mythology foundation.

"Grandpa's Cabin: Book 1" by Ross Triumph is a completely exhilarating, exciting read that consistently mixes components of repulsiveness and secret to make an enthralling story. At its heart, it's a tale about special kinds of mystery, heritage, and decisions when confronted with our past's dull bits of insight.

The story spins around Bernie Crenshaw, an octogenarian geneticist who, on his deathbed, presents to his grandson Nova a secretive and important property in the Hollywood Hills. A clueless Nova welcomes his companions for a party at the manor to commemorate his 21st birthday. Yet, things go off in an unexpected direction as Nova begins finding upsetting mysteries about the manor and creepy things start to occur.

The plot takes a sharp turn as Nova's companions suspect that the lodge harbours a chilling mystery—it very well may be a graveyard for the people who disappeared in their experience growing up. What will be the destiny of Nova and his companions?

What stands apart is Triumph's capacity to wind around an exciting and genuinely intricate story. The reader is brought into Nova's situation as he battles to safeguard his companions while wrestling with his family's evil inheritance. The anticipation works, as we can't help thinking about how Nova will explore these difficulties and what decisions he will make.

Overall, this was a wonderfully astounding perusal that gave me far beyond what I anticipated. It gave me what I expected: a drawing in areas of strength for with, sorted through characters, and a secret-bound story with repulsiveness components that made my spirit sing. I'm anticipating proceeding with the series since I'm quick to see where things go from here and whether Nova's ideas examples and plans change as the story advances and he more deeply studies what his granddad was associated with.
