Book review : Lake Bride

 Book review :

Lake Bride A Sweet Western Romance (Holiday Brides Book 5) by Shanna Hatfield was a wonderful story and clean romance. This is a sweet story of rediscovery and forgiveness that tugs at the heart.

Bridger has continuously gone above and beyond to serve his country, but he now finds himself at a crossroads in his life. When he inherits a cabin from his great uncle, he is hoping that spending time there will give him the clarity he needs but he never expected that it would bring Shayla into his life.

Shayla is a nurse who is cheerful and always sees the best in everyone and every situation. From her first meeting with Bridger they are drawn to each other in a way that neither expected and that only escalates when they spend time together.

Bridger and Shayla couldn’t have been more diverse, but they balance each other to perfection as she not only shows him love but gives him hope for the future as well.

I loved that this story involved Bridger's ancestors and their history in the small town and how that history was being preserved and how that influenced and changed his current life's decisions. There is healing and friendship and love. I just love Bridger's character. He is not your typical alpha soldier, but is a kind, compassionate, loving man.

The  author has well researched many areas of army details and beautifully weaved the storyline. The characters are well plotted. Language  is lucid and heart warming.

The book is a clean, wholesome read with a happy ending and lots of feel good moments. I am thankful to netgalley and the publisher for giving me this book in return of an honest review.

Happy Reading!
