POLLY: Unmasked Series Part-1 by MOSES DONALD P | Book review

 Book review:

"Polly: Unmasked Series" is a captivating and engrossing thriller. This is a short read of 72 pages but one cannot say what will come next in each chapter. I was intrigued by the book cover but it was much more than I expected.

The story begins with a heart-wrenching scene where a person hears the cry of a child while throwing garbage in the bin. He was startled to see a child wrapped and thrown in a bin. The man sought help. Suddenly it is depicted that the person who saved the child is taking care of him and he is named Polly, The Street Wheeler.

I was deeply immersed in the story and felt the humanity in people but to my gaze, it was entirely opposite. The person who saved him was his Godfather along with his younger brother, Father Tom kept him for serving them instead. They furnished two rules for him and he was asked to work the whole day perfectly. If he failed, he was brutally punished.

Polly's life went on like this for years till he reached his teens. One day he was randomly taken in the jeep to a nearby rainforest where he was given training in hunting and driving jeep in hilly areas. Slowly he grew up as a handsome young man who only knew to obey the orders of his Father and GodFather.

It was intriguing to read about the twists and turns in his life. I was really shattered by the depiction of the inhuman nature of his so-called Fathers. He never questioned his identity, the reason for showing brutal behaviour towards him or his no indulgence with the outside world.
Will he ever get to know about the truth behind these masked faces? Will he ever seek love or his Parents?

The author has meticulously weaved the storyline in a few pages which is nail-biting and unfurling so many layers of truths. He has tried to depict the wild and inhumanity shown by some humans where as wild animals may show love and affection that is worth praise. His attempt at making a multi-layered mystery with so many masks is really appreciable.

Overall, this book is a labyrinth of so many masks that need to be unfurled one by one. The reader gets to learn from animals and nature rather than blindly trusting the people around you. I am eager to know more about Polly and whether will he be saved by the angst of his GodFather or not in the next series. I will recommend this book to all mystery book lovers.

Your Mantra for a good night's sleep| 5 Ways to fight Insomnia in an easy way

Your Mantra for a good night's sleep| 5 Ways to fight Insomnia in an easy way

Sleeping for a proper duration makes you healthy and counts for your better thinking. But I need to ask you: Do you get a proper sleep?

Many of us face the issue of proper sleep and many factors deprive us of getting proper sleep during the night. Let's talk about the factors first that don't let us sleep:
๐Ÿ’€ Stress
๐Ÿ’€ Anxiety
๐Ÿ’€ Fear of future
๐Ÿ’€ Drinking a lot of caffeine before sleep
๐Ÿ’€ Irregular sleep pattern or work schedule
๐Ÿ’€ More exposure to screens or deeply addicted to watching mobile phones, TV, kindle or any media
๐Ÿ’€ Eating high-calorie food late at night or junk food

I am going to share my personally adopted methods to fight insomnia or mantra for a good night's sleep:

1. Establish a Consistent Sleep Schedule:

๐Ÿ’ค Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your body's internal clock.

๐Ÿ’ค Develop calming activities before bedtime, such as reading a book, taking a warm bath, or practising relaxation exercises.

๐Ÿ’ค  Keep your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet.

๐Ÿ’ค  Reduce exposure to phones, tablets, computers, and TVs at least an hour before bedtime.
  • The blue light emitted from screens can interfere with the production of the sleep hormone melatonin.
  1. 2. Manage Stress and Anxiety:

๐Ÿ’˜ Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime.
  • Opt for a light snack if you're hungry before bed. Eating heavy meals makes your stomach at work instead of letting your brain rest.

๐Ÿ’˜ Apply a stress-relieving cream or try using a soothing sleep mist.

๐Ÿ’˜ Try to schedule your work timings so that your mind starts relaxing 2 hours before going to bed. Avoid distractions if any.

3. Be Mindful of Sleep Quality:

๐Ÿ’ง Practice relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga.
  • Address any sources of stress through effective coping mechanisms.
๐Ÿ’ง Try sleeping with correct posture and suitable height of pillows that enhance sleep.

๐Ÿ’ง  Try pouring 1-2 drops of Mustard oil or Desi Ghee for proper circulation of air in the nostrils that will guide you to sound sleep.

4. Get Regular Exercise:

๐Ÿ’Ÿ Engage in regular physical activity, but try to finish exercising a few hours before bedtime.

๐Ÿ’Ÿ Regular engaging yourself in suitable meditation or yoga helps in relaxation and relieves stress and anxiety.

5. Seek Professional Help if Needed:

๐Ÿ’œIf none of the tricks work then it may be some health issue so do consult your healthcare professional.

๐Ÿ’œIf you consistently have trouble sleeping, consult a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying sleep disorders.

Conclusion:

Remember, individual preferences and needs vary, so it's essential to find what works best for you. If sleep problems persist, it's advisable to seek guidance from a healthcare professional.

The Wandering Star by SP Mittson | Book review

Book review:

"The Wandering Star" by SP Mittson is that scholarly charm that made the readers grapple with post-book blues at the profane hours. Mittson's creation is a jewel, leaving me longing for a greater amount of Eloise Hector's enchanted capers.

The story revolves around Eloise, the princess wrestling with a puzzling error in her powers, coincidentally finding the risky Shadowland after a sad mishap. What follows is a jolting experience, sprinkled with coy chat, as she collaborate with her self-declared foe, Kayden Parsons. Together, they attempt to beat the clock to protect companions from the grip of the Spurned.

Eloise Hector's journey through the Shadowland is a thrilling adventure filled with flirty banter and unexpected twists.

The author has made a spellbinding reality where hazard and excellence coincide, enhancing the story with layers ะพf intricacy. I delighted in following Eloise's change as she finds her capacities and countenances the snags ั–n her way.

The plot grasped me when Eloise and Kayden combined efforts tะพ save her companions from the dull domain ะพf Shadowland, mixing sorcery and experience with a touch of authenticity. The plot is an outright exhilarating rollercoaster, complete with pressure and surprising turns.

The relentless pacing and flawlessly organized structure make it impossible to put the book down, creating an experience that lingers in the mind.

Generally speaking, "The Wandering Star" is an extraordinary book that transports readers to a charming universe of wizardry and secret. Mittson's narrating ability, combined with the characters, guarantees a captivating encounter.

As this book is just the principal portion of the series "The Shifter's Daze," I'm anxious to dive into the continuations and offer my perspectives on them. The engaging cover, combined with the grasping plot, makes this book a must-read for dream devotees. Plunge into this captivating experience; you will not be disheartened!

A Tapestry of Poems by Marietta Pereira | Book review

 Book review:

"A Tapestry of Poems" is an enchanting collection of poetic gems that bound me to resonate with the human spirit. It embarks the reader on an enthralling journey through the intricate threads of emotions, reflections, nostalgia and humour. It consists of 46 short poems. Each poem has a story to depict.

Among all these poems, I liked
๐Ÿ’• Memory Lane
๐Ÿ’• The Tree
๐Ÿ’• Dreams
๐Ÿ’• Hope
๐Ÿ’• Story Behind My Name
๐Ÿ’• The Difficulty of Being Good

I was overwhelmed by the way the poet pens her life experiences in the form of poetic verses that help the reader to introspect within and search for emotions and make you a bit nostalgic. A few of the poetic verses that piqued me a lot:

๐Ÿ’ฅ "Teachers strict, yet always kind
The ones who helped us get thro' the grind -
    "Love Conquers All", they reiterated
    Lifetime values they inculcated."
So true, life starts when our teachers start inculcating good habits and their consistent fighting spirit in all their students. Everyone cherishes their schooldays and time spent over there for a lifetime. The teachers appear to be strict but in reality, they are shaping our personality so that no one can ever defeat us. Teachers are the ones who guide their students so that being humble and polite with their peers can solve big problems. Teachers grind their students to become proper flour so that they can be shaped in proper form as per their ability and capabilities.

๐Ÿ’ฅ "When you fight
To show your muscles and might
It could turn into an awful sight
Fight for what you think is right."
This verse reminded me of the reason why we fight. Fighting starts to prove your perspective is right and another is wrong. At times both can be correct with a mere difference of opinion. Only the stronger wins making the other fall for seeking help. Do we need to prove our muscle power in a fight? The poet has asked the reader to ponder about the reason for the fight and stop fighting over little issues that can be resolved with a few words.

๐Ÿ’ฅ "Friends and Family
   Fill our lives with
    Fun and warmth."
Our lives linger around our loved ones that may be friends, family and nearby ones. They are the ones who fill the void within each one of us. They are the reason for fun and warmth that helps to fight all the circumstances with courage.

๐Ÿ’ฅ "Don't get yourself into a dither
Know that life can be sweet, sour or bitter
      Just go with the tide
God is always on your side".
In this verse, the poet guides the reader to live their life to its fullest. She guides that accept the fact that life can be sweet, sour or bitter so one should learn to stand by and fight with the circumstances. If one learns to go with the tide or flow of life then he can easily sort out the problems and feel the blessings of God every moment. Life crumbles if we don't accept reality and feel to scratch wrongdoing.

Overall, the book is a captivating read that makes you think deeper on all perspectives in an enthralling manner. Worth reading, do grab it!

This review is articulated under the @blogchatter program. I am thankful to the Blogchatter team for providing me with this book in return for an honest review.

Sam Church. Her best friend (and the man she’d once secretly been madly in love with).

The Bookworm's Christmas Miracle: A Sweet Christmas Novella by Preethi Venugopala | Book review

 Book review:

"The Bookworm's Christmas Miracle: A Sweet Christmas Novella" by Preethi Venugopala is a magnificent and endearing occasion story that catches the embodiment of the Christmas soul and the force of affection. The affection for books and how books can help you gather the perfect individual just before Christmas is gloriously portrayed.

The book follows the narrative of Sara and Ayush, who meet in a curious bookshop in Bengaluru. This merry story transports you into the wonderland of first love. Their sentiment has an honesty to it, making us soft at the delight of youthful love - those shy looks, incidental contacts, slippery grins, faltering, nerves, and that's just the beginning. At the point when she starts satisfying the recorded causes, she meets Ayush once more, as the list of things to get has a place with Marie, Ayush's darling granny. Sentiment blooms between the two and both appear to be bound to be together. However, does destiny have different plans?

The author has meticulously woven the storyline making the readers immerse in varied emotions and feel the realm of Christmas. I liked the depiction of bookworms and how books can depict emotions.

Their delightful romantic tale, loaded up with hesitant looks, inadvertent contacts, and subtle grins, transports readers into the wonderland of first love. The pacing is even, permitting readers to enjoy the unfurling romantic tale while keeping a feeling of expectation with unanticipated turns.

In general, it's a sweet heartfelt read. Worth reading, do grab it!

Book review : The Women of Greek Mythology

 Book review :

Greek mythology is a collection of stories that explain the workings of the world, often through the adventures of gods and heroes.

Each chapter started off with a short story or a scene about the female in spotlight, followed by the references in various literature from the past and a quick analysis. I was surprised to see how different texts showed different versions of the same female.

Some stories that tells the origins and adventures of gods, goddesses, heroes, and monsters. Many of these stories are still enjoyed today as part of popular culture. The author has put light on the Themes that often appear in Greek mythology which  include courage, love, betrayal, violence, and loss. These themes can be seen in many different contexts throughout the myths, lending them a richness and depth that makes them especially interesting to study.

The author has well researched and put forth many women of Greek Mythology and their varied perspectives and strong personality that changed many lives at that time and is a source of inspiration and motivation nowadays. To recollect all those remarkable stories and compiled in one book seems bit less. I am looking forward to learn about more stories from the author and inculcate the deep insight layed in certain measures in my life too.

If you could talk to a historical figure, What would you say?

Historical figures if I start counting there are many. In a country like India where there were so many invaders, kings, Mughals, British, national leaders and so on...Counting never ends. If I get a chance to meet any one historical figure then I would like to meet Mahatma Gandhi.

Following two dubious years in India, where he couldn't begin an effective regulation practice, he moved to South Africa in 1893 to address an Indian shipper in a claim. He proceeded to live in South Africa for a considerable length of time. It was here that Gandhi raised a family and first utilized peaceful opposition in a mission for social equality. In 1915, matured 45, he got back to India and before long set about sorting out workers, ranchers, and metropolitan workers to challenge unnecessary land expense and separation.

Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation has done a lot for humanity whether he was in Africa or India. He helped the blacks to attain respect in that white-dominated country. When he returned to his country, he was startled to see their miserable condition. His sacrifices are abundant.
Gandhi ji marching towards the sea.

I want to question that his determination was at its peak during the Dandi March or in attaining independence then why he left his countrymen alone taking too much time to make a decision.  His prolonged time taken in knowing the good of the people of Kashmir led Kashmir into chaos forever.

Gandhi ji in conversation with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

I want to know didn't you feel that those people also needed sympathy or equality. Then why diplomatic relations or decisions were taken that ruthlessly led people to kill other people or brutally rape women.

Though I know it is not the fault of any it's just that power was transferred to Indians from the British but they didn't understand how to hold it and keep all the countrymen together and safe from all outer invasions.

I really respect the dedication and sacrifices of millions of Indians but we need to ponder on the mistakes that accidentally happened during that era that led to bloviating two nations. So whether I get a chance to talk to them then I would only like to reverse the wrong decisions taken and prevent the deadly chaos that happened.

It's my honour to meet this personality in person. To know about the hardships, striking endless efforts to help the needy and do some good for humanity and Indians. His consistent work and blessings are never to be forgotten. Salute to him!

Book review:

The book gives a complete outline of the excursion through medical college, offering direction on scholar, expert, and individual viewpoints. Dr Marwaha's ability radiates through as he tends to the multi-layered difficulties that hopeful medicos might experience, from scholastic thoroughness to the profound and mental requests of the calling.

Every part of his book is meticulously and nicely set up. Be it explaining the changes of joining an exceptionally requesting calling like medication as a young person or hardships requiring steady steadiness to clear an inexorably extreme NEET (PG) or any other exam, Dr Vishal Marwaha has examined the diverse issues tattered. Segments on the difficulties a wannabe joining a clinical school where language might be the outsider and the entanglements of young people capitulating to substance misuse are examined finally.

A few quotes from the book that piqued me:
๐Ÿ’ง "Writing makes a man perfect."
๐Ÿ’ง "It is better to weigh all the pros and cons before embarking on this long journey."

This book gives a methodology to all understudies to direct them during each time of their school life. A portion of the subjects examined The requirement for ordinary participation and how to keep a review life balance. Issues connected with the lodging, emotional well-being difficulties, peer strain, and substance misuse.

By and large, Dr. Vishal Marwaha's book is a signal of direction for hopeful clinical experts and their families. His shrewd direction, pragmatic exhortation, and sympathetic methodology make it a fundamental buddy, offering not simply a guide to outcome in clinical school yet in addition imparting certainty and backing for the difficult yet compensating venture ahead. SELLING IS NOT CHEATING : Sales is Strategy, Skills, Pricing, Marketing, and Ethics by Manojit Majumdar| Book review

 Book review:

When I used to approach buying any item I never pondered on the hard work put in by the salesperson to sell any item. I was eager to know the difference between selling and blabbering. So I grabbed this book and gained a deep insight on selling. It was an extremely new experience to unfurl the logic behind selling and buying and the related ethics.

Isolated into 19 nitty gritty sections, the book centres around various parts of deals. The book begins with the significance of a sound deals system and how to approach making a technique and distinguishing your deals target.

Past the conventional parts of deals, the book dives into the more extensive domain of business technique. It underlines the transaction among deals and different components like advertising and evaluating.

The book shows you the seven brilliant standards of progress and the workmanship and study of deals, including the significance of estimating and the deals cycle, making a thorough deals plan and winning the purchaser's trust. The book difficulties the standard way of thinking, including the Western way of dealing with deals, by introducing a deals approach more fit to the neighbourhood markets.

A few quotes from the book that piqued me:
๐Ÿ’˜"Listen to your people, partners, and customers, and incorporate  some changes per suggestions that may help you create a more positive  and supportive environment, which is also needed for hyper-growth."
๐Ÿ’˜"Understanding and appreciating cultural differences is essential for building relationships, fostering empathy, and creating a more inclusive  and diverse sales strategy."

The author adopts an all-encompassing strategy, coordinating key reasoning, abilities improvement, estimating techniques, promoting, and moral contemplations. he gives bits of knowledge custom fitted to medium and, surprisingly, little estimated organizations that might come up short on broad ability pool as well as the monetary sponsorship appreciated by their bigger partners.

Overall, sales is an intricate process that requires a deep understanding of your target audience, industry, and business landscape. Worth reading, do grab it!

HEART IN A HURRICANE by Tanushi Singh | Book review

Book review:

"Heart in a Hurricane" is an assortment of encounters that shed light upon the difficulties, battles and subsequent misery that accompany cherishing somebody. The assortment typifies the writer's introspections as well as welcomes readers to introspect, to relate their own encounters to the feelings uncovered inside the refrains. It's an encouragement to plunge profound into the profundities of the human heart and ponder the complexities of affection, strength, and the persevering quest for a satisfying relationship.

A few verses from the book that piqued me a lot:
๐Ÿ’ฆ"I can not pretend it's easy.  I can not pretend it gets easier with time.  Living through long distance has been my story  A story I've been living from the start."
A true love whether long distance or side apart needs true bonding that seeks nourishment from both sides. It is a story that can't be depicted without the love of the couple itself.

๐Ÿ’ฆ"Distance was and still remains our most challenging game.  Knowing love is the anchor enveloping us whenever either of us feels estranged."
Distance can make relationships or estrange them as per the need or way the couple leads their relationship. The ifs and buts make the relationship more beautiful as the couple starts to know each other.

The author has shared the trials and tribulations of surviving a relationship and the change that occurs in the aftermath of the storm. The author attempts to make the readers find the essence of true love lies in withstanding the storm.

The Web of Lies: A Detective Agni Mitra Novel by Sourabh Mukherjee | Book review

 Book review:

"The Web of Lies" is a captivating tale that keeps the readers on its edge from the first line till the end. I was startled to read the beginning and a heartwrenching murder of a famous person that makes the reader creep for truth and turn pages to know the truth.

The story opens with the demise of Hiya Sen, who has set the distinction and fire in a huge number of hearts. She winds up dead in the wake of being ruthlessly assaulted by three people. The injury happens in front of her significant other, Manav Chauhan, who is defenseless being not able to save the existence of his love bird spouse and himself. The plot of the story fastens from here, with ACP Agni Mitra's acknowledgement to examine the case with Reviewer Arya.

Running against the norm, even before Agni can draw an obvious conclusion, a progression of killings follows, making him thoroughly consider vulnerability. Eventually, when the real executioner is found, the purpose for it will leave you astounded.

The writer capably winds around a mind-boggling embroidery of associations, insider facts, and thought processes, keeping the reader engaged with various turns and subplots. The short sections add to the energetic speed of the story, upgrading the general understanding experience. Each character is carefully evolved, permitting the crowd to figure out their schedules and inspirations, making a trap of suspects' areas of strength for with.

The clear language utilized by the author grasps you with a rush. The novel has a ton of occasions where you will want to watch a spine-chiller film. Those occurrences were simply astounding. The creator's control over each scene attached me with the understanding of the two sides with practically no end.

Generally, it was an incredibly satisfying encounter reading the novel, an interesting interpretation of wrongdoing and reasonableness. Worth reading, do grab it!

I am another you by Priya Kumar |Book review

 Book review:

I have read many books by Priya Kumar and today when I was feeling bit low. I chose another inspiring book by her, "I am Another You". Like other books in this book I received a treasure of inspiring quotes and wordings. This book is meant for any person who is partaking the consistent pressure of life's hurdles and disappointments.

In this book, the author shares her journey of retrieval or self discovery when she lost her money or relationship due to her wrong decisions. So she embarks a journey to Netherlands where she joins a spiritual healing program to uplift her soul and know herself.

As she reaches the program, her each step signifies she is just like us. I appreciate her depiction of varied steps and the deep insights gained in each step of that program. Each chapter evolves rich treasure of insights I wanted to dive in again and again.

One of the wording that piqued me was: "Failure smirks at me as if saying, you will fail."
Aren't we feeling the same each day or moment when we fight for our survival?

The author has flawlessly incorporated the insights as if saying that don't consider your self alone. None bother about your thinking as each person is struggling with his own pressures. So instead of making others happy feel the real purpose of yourself and do whatever is needed for it.

Overall, a motivational journey of self discovery and helping the reader to step up from their own grievances and enjoy every bit of life. Highly recommended.

key 2 leadership by Sandeep Singh | Book review

 Book review:

"Leadership involves making our team believe that we will do everything in our power to help them overcome a challenge."

Leadership means to take your fellow mates along with you without harming anyone's self esteem. I grabbed this book and got a handful of deep insights about leadership.

In this book, the author begins with guiding the true meaning of leadership.

In these 13 chapters, the author pours light on leadership and how one can become a true leader by focusing on his mindset. Each chapter begins with an inspiring quote that helps understand the meaning and introspect yourself for a better understanding.

I appreciate the story of an elephant tied with a rope and thinking that he cannot break it. But the reality is something else. If an elephant can be trained accordingly then why can't we humans with consistent efforts and growth mindset change our way of dealing for a better leadership.

The author has provided ample examples and shared his own experience for the reader to grasp the difference between true leader and pretending to be a leader. His lucid and evocative way of explaining each step logically is really praise worthy.

Overall, this book acts as a ladder towards success. One can change himself by adopting few of the ways or instil good habits for a better leadership. Highly recommended!
