Happy Valentine's Day
On the 14th of February, I wish everyone the best wishes for this Valentine's Day. Deep Inside, I was thinking about this day. How did the Valentine's Day celebration begin? Is it bound only to one day or it is timeless and should be celebrated daily with your loved ones?
Valentine's Day, additionally considered Holy person Valentine's Day or the Gala of Holy person Valentine, is praised every year on February 14. It started as a Christian dining experience day regarding a saint named Valentine, and through later people's customs, it has likewise turned into a huge social, strict and business festivity of sentiment and love in numerous locales of the world.
Valentine's Day festivities didn't get on in that frame of mind around 1992. It was spread because of the projects in business Stations, like MTV, committed radio projects, and love letter rivalries, notwithstanding a monetary progression that permitted the blast of the Valentine card industry. The festival has caused a sharp change in how individuals have been showing their friendship openly since the Medieval times.
In a 2018 web-based overview, it was viewed that 68% of the respondents didn't wish to observe Valentine's Day. It tends to be likewise seen that different strict gatherings, including Hindu, Muslim and Christian individuals of India don't uphold Valentine's Day.
Who can be my Valentine?
The concept of Valentine's Day begins at the teenage and stays forever if provided. Most of the public places are crowded and decorations are all over the place. The whole world seems to feel the essence of love and blossom with flowers. Every young couple seeking love try to impress their love to their Valentine.
In this scenario, Is love constrained to only young pairs? Do senior citizens who are dumped into old age homes not have the right to celebrate the day of love or they are not considered to have such rights?
We, the young who will one day fall to that age can think of pleasing their emotions and sentiments. Let's change our way of loving or expressing our love to our Valentine to all the persons who changed our lives from our parents to our near ones or loved ones.
Love is an immense feeling of bonding not only physically but also emotionally. Love begins from the heart and never ends till the last breath if true. Any person seeking true love should not be affected by looks but also see the person from the heart. As it is commonly said, "All that glitters is not Gold".
💓 First love should be expressed to our Almighty God by saying prayers or going to the place of worship and devoting your offerings and yourself. It is a nice way to show love and rip off your ego so that your life moves smoothly.
💓 Then comes the turn of your parents who work day and night to raise you and fulfill your demands and wishes. Shower some love in the form of gifts or eating together at any one time of your day.
💓 If you have found your soulmate or are still finding one, you should try presenting gifts and spending quality time together. But it becomes a bit difficult to give a full day at times so do work on the quality of time spent rather than the quantity of time spent.
💓 Respect each other's consent before diving deep into emotions and stay committed to your love.
💓 Start celebrating along with your loved ones, family and elders. No elder ever protrudes in your privacy but acknowledging them depicts equal love to them and if your near ones are happy then your prosperous life is not far away.
💓 Gift some chocolates, soft toys, flowers, bouquets, jewellery or anything that brings a smile to his/her face. The most important thing in expressing your love is your sincerity in love for her or him.
Conclusion
Love is a sacred thing that needs consistency of nurturing by the water of togetherness. Irrespective of what your relationship status is, your love needs only you and if it is true love then it will definitely accept you as you are along with your family. Don't forget your parents or elders in a surge of finding your Valentine. Spread love and fill your love among all your near ones so that you become a magnet for love.

I love the concept of unconditional love, thereby Valentine is among my favourite days. Last romantic outing was on Feb 14, 1995! But this year, I went to enjoy spring at Mughal Garden, Rashtrapati Bhawan. This Valentine was nice also.

DeleteValentines day is a special day to showcase love towards your loved ones and celebrate the day in a good way. If you are single then also you can celebrate the day with yourself, pamper yourself. I believe celebrating valentines day means celebrating peace day , celebrating love day.
ReplyDeleteVery true, Valentine's Day is a mere expression of love.

DeleteThank you for sharing your thoughts and reminding us of the true essence of love, which lies in spreading joy and affection among all those we hold dear. It's not just about grand gestures but also about the little things that show our love and appreciation for one another.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteI am ok with the idea of celebrating love on Valentine's Day, but I feel expression of love should happen everyday. Sometimes the hype is unnecessary and people just make that one day special and the rest of the days are less than ordinary. I had never celebrated V day before but it's been about 5 years that we out for dinner with close friends.
ReplyDeleteUnconditionally love is the most important but at the same time most difficult. You have to show your love daily without expecting anything in return and that is true love. To nurture this live we should never forget our near and dear ones.
ReplyDeleteI like how you talked about the history and how people celebrate now. tips you shared, like starting with prayers and showing love to family, are really nice. It's a great reminder that love is about more than just looks. Well, It's been three years since we stopped celebrating Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteYour post resonated with me as I too believe in love towards the Almighty and my parents and family first and foremost, the rest can follow suit. Valentines or any other day, my love language is to shower my loved ones including myself with words of love and encouragement.

ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you too! I couldn't agree more with the idea that love should be celebrated daily, not just confined to one day of the year. While Valentine's Day serves as a special occasion to express our love and appreciation, it's important to nurture and cherish our relationships every single day.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteI too am of the belief that the higher power (or Almighty as you referred), our parents, and our friends deserve as much credit if not more for the love we feel in our lives. Your tips were so practical and made sense to me at least.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteI'm naturally inclined to romance. Valentine's Day holds significance as a day to express love towards your dear ones and cherish it in a meaningful manner. Even if you're single, you can celebrate by treating yourself kindly. To me, Valentine's Day symbolizes a celebration of peace and love.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteI completely agree with your conclusion Shafali, Love can only be enduring when nurtured regularly through daily acts of love and respect and love should not be limited to one relationship though traditionally Valentine's Day is only about young couples ( the saint who got Christian couples married was St Valentine, in those times Christian wedding were prohibited). But Yes , love has no boundaries.
ReplyDeleteYes, Love has no boundaries.
DeleteThank you. Someone had to say it. In this captilistic world which mints money in the name of love, we've forgotten the why and who of it. Great post.
ReplyDeleteAgree with this concept of Valentine's Day. Loving our parents and loved ones is a great way to celebrate the day.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of love beyond just romantic love... its a more realistic picture of how love exists for all of us, in many different ways in different relationships and celebrating them is a wonderful habit to have.
ReplyDeleteI loved the concept of unconditional love. Not just that one day but everyday. These tips are really good .
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteThat was a very thoughtfully written post. Love has no boundaries or age bar. Love is pure.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteValentine's Day brings out the romantic in all of us. For me, like any other day, it begins with hugging my husband and kids. It's a blessing to be surrounded by our loved ones and share some special moments with them.
ReplyDeleteValentine's day is for everyone. The marketing makes us believe it is for lovers only.
ReplyDeleteWhen love is in the air, no one can remain unaffected!
ReplyDeleteYou have beautifully captured the essence of Valentine's Day, reminding us that love knows no bounds and should be celebrated with all our loved ones, regardless of age or relationship status. A heartfelt reminder to cherish and spread love every day!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteLove really knows no bound. And the whole valentine's day feels like scam. Why celebrate love one day, shouldn't it be always through your acts.
ReplyDeleteLoved it.
Thanks a lot!
DeleteTrue that love is something that has to be nurtured every day
ReplyDeleteLove your take on the valentines day. Spending time as a family would matter a lot. i have been spending this day with my family since 2 years, we have introduced this day to my kids as, a day to express the love. and we do it in a decent way
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
DeleteI think live is love only when it is unconditional , otherwise it can become obsession and compulsion. I too feel love needs to be expressed everyday with those who are close to your heart without expecting anything in return.
ReplyDeleteBusiness interests have overhauled our social life beyond the point that a return is impossible. We call it development in its jargon, but we cannot remain not recognising its good side. Valentine has brought into our midst a respectful status for love. Wait a minute, love had a respectful status in India since an ancient time. Since when has it been looked down upon as a lascivious matter? We need love, and we need to bring it out and celebrate it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post - especially the tips on impressing your Valentine!
