Book review : Even better than the real thing

Book review : Even Better than the Real Thing by Melanie Summers is a romantic and hilarious book that one enjoys every bit of it.

The story starts with Finley who  needs access to her boss's extensive art collection at his manor house. Lord Hayden Stuart needs a wife to inherit after his father dies. Neither expects this marriage to ever be more than a contract. But love has a way of sneaking into the equation.

Finley thinks she will pretend to be his wife but never gets to know till their deal gets over that she fell in love with him. It is interesting to find out how she enjoys her married life and then will she ever get back her true love.

The author has beautifully presented their fake marriage and bits of love that dwell them more close than ever. A fake relationship can also change you as a person and your thinking and this story is the best example of the same.

I loved reading this witty relationship story and is difficult to put down. I recommend this book to all romance book lovers.

I am thankful to netgalley and the publisher for giving me this book in return of an honest review. I am looking forward to more of the author books.

Book review : Gifts & Secrets

Book review : Gifts & Secrets by Kiim Sorenson is a unique way of sharing her experiences of motherhood and the teachings for others.

In this book , the author shares her experience about being a mother and what other people feel about it. Some may feel it is an easy job but in reality its the toughest and enjoyable job ever. She shares how it is difficult for a mother to upbring her children along with meeting the needs of family and most important person herself goes unnoticeable .  She too shares lessons acheived by her to mould in our lives to be a good mother and make their children a good human being.

Book review : Evolutionary Ideas

Book review : Evolutionary Ideas by Sam Tatam is an exceptional book showing the real meaning of evolution and giving ample examples to help the reader to understand the real meaning of an evolutionary ideas.

In Evolutionary Ideas, Sam Tatam shows how behavioural science and evolutionary psychology can help us solve tomorrow’s challenges, not by divining something the world has never seen, but by borrowing from yesterday’s solutions – often in the most unexpected ways.

The author has done incredible job and a lot of research work with minute details to explain the true evolution from examples of our ancestors to the present generation. This book gives you lots of facts that normal people are either unaware or never thought in a different approach to really change your present condition and make a larger difference to many lives.

I loved reading this book and would recommend this book to all self - help book lovers. I am thankful to netgalley and the publisher for providing me this book in return of an honest review.

Book review : A Dress the Color of the sky

Book review : A Dress the Color of the Sky by Jennifer Irwin is an heart touching book.

This is a story of Prudence Aldrich who was in numbing pain after so many dangerous experiences from strangers. She could not let her life with her husband Nick casually due to many reasons which led her blames of irresponsible behaviour and filled her with self-loathing.

Any person who is sexually exploited a number of times that the person forgets how to respect her sexuality is an example of Prudence. She at last takes the help of a rehab at Serenity Hills. There she is assigned in purple group of persons that associates with similar type of problem.

Prudence here experiences a new life and learn to acknowledge her and respect herself despite all the issues. Her therapy helps her to come out of this addiction and face her issues and move forward. Her journey is quite heart - touching.

The author has done a commendable job in bringing such a sensitive issue with such an ease. It brings readers to understand two time frames past and present. Both are intriguing at the same time.

I liked reading this book and am thankful to @katerockbooktours for gifting me this book in return of an honest review.

Book review : Standing in the Storm

Book review : Standing in the storm by Matt McChlery is an exceptional piece of showing courtesy and faith towards God, Our Saviour.

This is a memoir of the author who shares and beautifully explains the two ways of life. His journey of hardships and the way he handles his family as well as himself in worst times in the hands of Jesus is praiseworthy.

Bad times and problems are a part of life but the way one deal with it is really notable. There is no person on earth who has never dealt with problems or is suffering from miserable conditions. The author here shares that if we leave everything on Jesus and just do our work as he wishes then nothing can stop us. We will easily cross the river of hardships and worst times in a short while without noticing it either.

In this book , the author suffers from non-hodgkin lymphoma and death of a unborn child which his family with the grace of Jesus courageously face it and come out of it. The wording from the book that I like most :

The Bible calls those who believe in Jesus, overcomers (1 John 5:4- 5). This clearly indicates that there must be something to overcome. Life does not suddenly become free from pain or suffering when we choose to follow Jesus. If this were true and life contained no trials , there would be no reason for our faith .

I loved reading this book and got ample inspiration quotes that are worth bringing in our own life and thanking God as much as possible. I recommend this book to all memoir book lovers.

Book review : The first binding

Book review : The First Binding by R.R.Virdi is an excellent epic fantasy novel. It's first in series of Tales of Tremaine.

The story revolves around Ari, the story teller and Eloine. As their chemistry with each other sparked, Ari then proceeded to tell her the truths behind his many deeds, fame, and titles/names. Right from his childhood, entirely told through his first-person.

The author jumps back and forth between the past and present time frame, and I enjoyed reading both time frames, but the main highlights of the storytelling strengths in the story undoubtedly lie in the past time frame. It is a novel about coming-of-age, found family, kindness, empathy, storytelling, magic, truth, and lies. And most of all, it is a novel about stories and their importance.

I am thankful to netgalley and the publisher for providing me this book in return of an honest review.

I loved reading this fantasy novel but it was too lengthy. It's my first novel with 1000pages length. I recommend this book to readers who can read such a lengthy book. It's worth reading.

Book review : The Girl who left

Book review : The Girl who left by Jenny Blackhurst is an overwhelming psychological thriller.

This is a story of Kathryn who lives in an aftermath of a blunder that happened twenty five years ago. Her other sister Elsie button was snatched from a garden in a sleepy town on the Welsh island of Anglesey, and a local man later confessed, it sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community. How could one of their own do such a thing? Especially when his own little girl was the same age – and the victim’s best friend.

The author has done incredible job in writing such a gripping story that hooked me till the end and i finished it in one sitting. The language used is lucid and beginner friendly. The mindset of kathryn is beautifully depicted when she longs for the answer from her father

asking each time "where is she ?"

Kathryn wants the answers to her question and reaches the same place Anglesey and was astonished to find out the people not supporting her to unfold the truth but on the contrary don't want her to know the reality. But her efforts bring out the reason of her questions with lots of secrets unfolding.

I am thankful to Kelly @lovebookstours for gifting me this book in return of an honest review.

I loved reading this book except the fact that the font of the book is too small and it took me a lot of time to focus on the syllables. I recommend this book to all psychological thriller book lovers.

 Book review :

This book is a collection of 21 poems of different varsities depicting ample emotions and deep insights of oneself in a lucid manner and the art work is unique piece of art that is hard to find.

Many new artists have collaborated their excellence in different forms in this one book. The author has included their instagram accounts id to follow them if we wish. Her profound efforts to give all artists a fair try to show their poetry and art is praiseworthy.

I loved all the poems but my favorite are twin flames, touch , view - the perspective , percocet , the wait ,magic , colours and many more. All are showing immense deep insight of oneself that only you can introspect within you.

The book is The O'Brians trilogy where Connor O'Brian is a hardworking Irishman who has nothing to do with women and romance. But life takes lots of twists and turns when he happen to meet the love of his life that he ever dreamt of.

Review : The Younglings : Fire and Magic

 Blurb :

Protecting innocents in the mortal world is not a job to be taken lightly, and life for the Keepers is spiralling back to Crazyville. The Supernatural Council has their back, but it’s chaos out there.

Stranded spirits, rogue vampires and demons are bad enough, and now merciless witch hunters are stalking Millie.

Eve’s angelic blood is like a siren call—one a tenacious vampire tracker cannot ignore.

Are things for the Keepers about to turn messy?

It’s hard to know who’s the good guy and who’s the enemy.

Monsters don’t always have claws or fangs, and they’re not always in the shadows. Sometimes they hide in plain sight.

Can the Keepers protect their own?

Review :

The book held me intrigued till the end not allowing to leave for a minute. I loved every aspect of fantasy and the way it was depicted by the author. After Harry Potter, this is the best series i wish all kids and adults should go through once.

The author has beautifully depicted the conditions of a keeper who are earnestly trying to save the innocents. It was interesting to unfold the mystery of how keepers are saving themselves or the innocents.

I loved reading this book and would recommend this book to all fantasy lovers and wish to read the next series soon.

Book review : Cheat Play Live by Lisa Edwards is an amazing read beautifully displaying one woman's journey to fearlessness and freedom.

This is a story of Lisa who is looking for love, freedom and absolution on beaches of the world.

Grieving for the loss of her parents, married to the wrong man and stuck in a toxic work situation, she has become increasingly dependent on alcohol to numb her pain. After using a dating site for married people, she decides to leave her husband, believing that the grass is greener on the other side. But no one is waiting in the wings to claim her – only younger men looking for an older-woman experience.

Lisa's life changes when she reaches Goa and discovers yoga and love of her life. Her life takes lots of twists and turns and she starts introspecting herself. She breaks all the boundations that bounded her freedom and stopped her from enjoying her life .

The author has done an amazing job in depicting the emotions of Lisa where she gets hurt when her husband does not provide her help when her mother gets ill. Despite her intution hoding her from marrying wrong person but she still does. It was interesting to unfold how she comes out of wine and sorrowness lately with the help of yoga and tribe of inspirational women she come across on her visit to Goa.

I loved reading this book. It is beginner friendly and lucid book. I recommend this interesting book to all fiction lovers.

Book review : Rangeela Re

Book review : Rangeela re by Tanmay Dubey is an intriguing and enchanting piece of fiction.

The story revolves around the protagonist Mayank or Mickey who has his own versions of life. He is a bachelor in mid thirties and yet longing for true love and following wrong paths to find it and still far away from it. At times , girls ditched him and other times he.

The author has done an incredible job in depicting different colors of life through the story of Mickey and given the names of each chapter also as seven colors of a rainbow. He has tried to show the reader another side of a middle class person from mumbai and the longing for love, fame and money.

He has well crafted different emotions through various characters and how few of them lose their character and become immoral just to satisfy their need for money intentionally or unintentionally.

I liked reading this book that kept me intrigued till the end . I recommend this book to all fiction and drama book lovers as it is spicy, steamy and emotionful drama book.

Book review : Pyar hua ikrar hua

Book review : Pyar hua ikrar hua by Preeti Shenoy is an amazing romantic read.

The story is of Pooja and Aarush who belong to entirely different cultures , philosphies and traditions. Aarush who is brought up in Britain comes for a visit to India where he gets to know Pooja. Both of them fell in love with each other and face the trivial conditions ahead.

Love changes a person from within . Anyone who is in love has to accept him/her in all the conditions either good or bad. Same goes for Pooja and Aarush who need to face the worse conditions and become mature to handle it carefully.

I loved reading this hindi novel after a long duration. I appreciate the author's way of depicting all the characters involved and kept me intrigued till the end. The curiosity of knowing will they fulfill their love or not kept me hooked and i finished this book in one go. I recommend this interesting romantic story to all romantic book lovers.

Book review : The Black Star

Book review : The black Star by Sanjay Vedi is an exceptionally thrilling and fascinating book.

The story is about two kids Proxy and Sirius who are searching for a flower for their mother so that she gets healed sooner. Both of them are inherited by certain powers which they donot know how to use but they are aware of the fact that they are special.

On the search , they meet new persons who dwell to be their well wishers . They teach them how to use their powers and fight with cygni and eventually kids got aware of the Black Star.

The author has beautifully depicted the characters and true emotions (love, fear, sarcasm, innocence , insight and much more) that the reader is intrigued till the end. The way kids develop the curiosity to learn their powers as well as protect each other from any devil powers or cygni that surrounds all over near their residence.

I like reading this book and was hooked till the end. The characters reminded me of Harry Potter series. I wish more of such books from the author. It is very amazing read for kids above 8 years. This story fascinates you into another world and teaches you lots of things especially to decide what's wrong or right and how to protect your siblings in mere worse conditions. I recommend this book to all fiction and thriller book readers.

Book review : Happyish

Book review : Happyish by Jeanette Escudero is an unique story of a woman who want to be happy despite all her issues.

The story is of Alex Martinez who wants to celebrate her divorceversary but to her surprise she is diagnosed of a brain tumor which she can't even pronounce.

Alex has seen how her mother and family suffered when her sister died of leukemia in a young age. That impact has broken her from within that when she is told of her disease she relates everything to it and has no courage to face it.

Going from blissful to blindsided in one afternoon, Alex has other plans: to be impulsive and embark on an adventure she’ll never forget. Expected destinations: the Grand Canyon, Puerto Rico, and zip-lining through Costa Rica. Unexpected companion: a hiker named David who’s found a woman after his own heart. But no matter how enriching the journey, how long can Alex keep running?

The author has done an incredible job in depicting the mindset of over stressed , emotionally hurt , fighting to be happy and looking for peace in friends and within Alex who instead of facing the situation runs from it .

Every person wishes to be happy but God's will that leads him/her to trivial circumstances. Are these conditions for us to face it or suffer its bad effects if not handled carefully at the right time.

I loved reading this book. It's beginner friendly and illustrations of different places rejunevates the reader with different aspects of life. I recommend this book to all fiction lovers.

The book deals with two characters Cade Henson and Rhynn Lewis who are running away or fighting with their past and decide at the streets of Minneapolis to risk their lives at any cost. But they met each other and got stuck. The lacking of one was filled by the other and vica-versa.

The story kept me intrigued all the time thinking will they really value each other and be honest to a fresh start or someone will linger inbetween leaving other breakaway again. The story is well written in a lucid manner.

Book review : Chasing Stardom

Book review : Chasing Stardom by Borniface Kanyamuna is a deep thoughtful and a flight of fortune novel.

Appreciation is the best key that encourages us to do better in any field we are. But as the saying goes excess of anything is bad. The same goes true when you are a student and excel in one field that it brings glory, fame and money. Many of us get taken away by the seeming popularity in the future. Question arises Is it too easy ??

This is a story of three boys James, louis and Alex who are together in a music band. All of them work hard to make their band popular and make it their source of income in the future. But all of them have different opinions and way of looking into situations. They are chasing stardom.

The author has done a marvellous job by depicting the mindset of young boys and their dreams. He has explained through his book that youth may have keen desire to become something in a shortwhile but no patience and maturity to deal with trivial situations where big sharks are always hunting for upcoming new fishes.

I loved reading this first book in series. It kept me intrigued all the time to understand who will really win the stardom among three of them or get lost inbetween missing the bond between them. I recommend this cool , lucid book to all fiction lovers and most important youth who are chasing the stardom in one way or the other.

Book review : Myself to Blame

Book review : Myself to blame ? by Deepak Dubey is an excellent collection of five short stories depicting the life of miserable persons without any fault.

The author has beautifully depicted the misery that laid those silly creatures of God to fatal death due to ignorance or lack of understanding at the right moment. All the five stories are unique in themselves giving insight of inner fear , tranquilities and extreme sadness that lay them to think negatively not thinking about the body they are given to live in by God.

I appreciate the rich literature and the source of words the author has u used that really fascinated me with abundance of new words and another way of looking into circumstances that we hardly care for ourselves. It provokes a question that i too want to ask why me always? This is a question that we normally hear people asking God when they are fed up with their miseries.

I loved reading this amazing book and recommend this entirely different style of laying stories to all short stories book lovers.

SOMETIMES LOVE HAS BEEN THERE ALL ALONG…⁣

Elly Vincent, second-year emergency medicine resident at Lakewood Medical Center, swore off romance years ago. Her only problem: her best friend and the man she has secretly been in love with since high school, Grant Reed, just happens to be in her residency program. When Elly and Grant are assigned to spend a month together on an EMS rotation, Elly knows working closely with Grant will reignite all the feelings she has tried for years to ignore. Things at the fire station heat up even more when a dashingly handsome paramedic makes his interest in Elly clear. Suddenly, Elly finds herself torn between her love for Grant and the possibility of a relationship with someone new, and Elly knows that before the rotation concludes, she must not only decide if she wants to pursue an EMS fellowship, she must also sort out the true feelings of her heart.⁣

Book review : Crazy, Creative , Conscious

Book review: Crazy , Creative ,Conscious by Akansha Joshi is an incredible self - help book.

The author has beautifully explained the condition of humans who ignore their instincts and never ponder deeply to their creative ideas. She depicts through pictorial representation the three kinds of people we are surrounded by who help or support our ideas or become an obstacle in our way. She guides how to introspect ourselves and give yourself freedom to color our canvas through various ideas.

She has included lots of her personal experiences with the quotes of famous writers or creators. She guides that you should get crazy of your ideas and be creative and conscious of how you depict your ideas and keep filling your container of creativity through meditation , reading books and journaling the related topics.

Quote from the book :

A creative moment is a part of longer creative process, which in turn, is a part of creative life. -Tom Wujec

Sometimes big problems are best solved with lots of small creative solutions - Ricardo Salina Pliego

I loved reading this book and refer this book to all self help book lovers as it gives you another angle of focusing on your abilities that get hidden or are never given any value because of our ignorance and live your life giving freedom to your desires and speech or art of writing/creating.

Happy Reading!

Book review : My Mechanical Romance

Book review : My Mechanical Romance by Alexene Farol Follmuth is a sweet romantic story of teenage.

The story is of Bel and Teo who get to know each other in the robotics team. Bel faces lots of issues when her ability is challenged and being a girl she is considered inferior as compared to other male majority of the team.

Slowly and steadily both of them get to know each other and form a team , good friends and then much more without realizing it. The story unfolds lots of twists and turns with emotional struggle of Bel and how she withstands herself when her parents are getting divorce.

This is a sweet story including lot of sci terms which i really missed . I am thankful to netgalley and Holiday house for giving me this book to read in return of an honest review.

Happy Reading!
