Book review: Under the Mistletoe and other stories

 Book review:

🌸 This book is a collection of short stories related to Christmas and New Year events when Santa comes to deliver gifts to all his children. The stories comprises of hope, love, healing, new beginnings , acceptance, and much more.

🌸 Each story embarks a different lesson and diving new horizons. The book talks about loss and grief, bondings, new blooming romance and many more.

🌸This book teaches us that as long as we do not allow ourselves to take a step forward, suffering will always be our master.

"Naughty or nice" was childish and heartwarming. It is a brilliant stroke by the author as it attempts to explain how to interact with a child on a topic that should be implemented at a young age. The other stories are good as well.

🌸My favourite story was “A Foggy Memory”. I found the main character Samantha visiting Benakatti to be very relatable to some of the experiences that I have recently gone through. Some more stories that I liked are - ‘Elfish Grinch’, ‘Naughty or Nice’ & ‘Secret Santa’.

🌸 The author has beautifully presented the stories and a bit of poetry sections inbetween. All the stories are heart warming. The poetry pieces include- ‘The Pudding Story’, ‘The Ginger bread Experiment’, & ‘ The Unwarm Welcome’.

🌸 I loved reading these stories and would recommend this to all who like reading short stories.

🌸 Happy Reading!

Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...
