Book review : The Last Love Story

 Book review :

The last love story is an elusive story of love and choosing writing as a career. To become a writer and make it as a profession feels weird to many. Such a heart-touching story of the protagonist Mahe or Mahindra is shared in this story.

Mahe and Ela are childhood lovers, unfortunately, their destiny is not written together and Mahe moved from Kerala to Gurgaon for making his career as a writer. He was not willing to relocate but circumstances made him take the drastic decision and there he met Reeti. But yet again he was asked to assure a settled career and not be dependent on writing. According to many people around him writing can be chosen as a hobby but not as a career.

‘True Love doesn’t change with time, what you felt when you met her will remain till the end of your story, and for that, you will nurture her love like your own, every day.’

These words of her mother always resonated in his ears. The bond between Mahe and his mother is like  a friend from his childhood. He remembers of those days when her mother taught him the skills of life and reminded him that loving a person is easy but to pursue it lifelong is bit difficult. So he finally returns to his mother at his home to write his last love story which will either make or break his career, heart, and life.

The author has impeccably depicted the choices made by people when it comes to chose a bridegroom for a daughter if one is a writer. The true value of parenting and related bonds along with being a lover is depicted vividly.

I loved reading this book immensely and would recommend this book to all.

Happy Reading!
