Book Review : The Broken Soul

Book Review :

The Broken Soul is book three in the Sloane and Maddie, Peril Awaits series. The storyline is quite intriguing, captivating and thrilling enough to keep you hooked up from the start till the end.

Maddie and Sloane are back at it, and this time  in New Orlean . When Sloane goes away to go grab drinks for the two of them, she comes back to find that Maddie is gone. Upon enquiring, she learns that Maddie went to help with a girl that she saw face down in an alley. For when Maddie follows her instincts and tries to help a woman finds herself being kidnapped.

Now, Sloane is left with a lot of questions of her own, and racing against the clock to find Maddie and make sure that she is fine.  With a little luck, and help from some unexpected sources, Sloane gets closer to finding her friend. This is a pretty fast paced story.

The author has well weaved the suspense behind her kidnapping. Characters are well plotted and easy narration makes it a fast read. Language is lucid and easy going.

Overall,  It's a quick, easy read that I binged in one sitting because I needed to know what happened. It's fast paced and one that will keep you on the edge of you seat. I liked reading this book and would recommend this to all mystery book lovers. I am thankful to @katieandbreypa for providing me this book in return of an honest review.

Happy Reading!

Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...
