A Thing called Destiny |Book review

"A Thing Called Destiny" is an intriguing, captivating, and thrilling read with ample twists and turns. The seven phases of this book are meticulously woven to hook the reader from beginning to end.

The story revolves around the protagonist, Vidushi, and Vinay. Vidushi is brave, charming, and jovial by nature. She has a unique quality of making strangers feel comfortable talking to her. Vinay is quite reserved, extremely brilliant, protective, and good at heart.

Both of them accidentally cross paths after a span of 13 years. This time, when they meet, Vidushi is in the hospital striving from a mini-accident but is saved by the grace of God. Vinay takes care of her. Gradually as their friendship blossoms, Vidushi remembers canceling on Vinay due to one reason or another. But this time, something big and fishy is being planned under her nose, and she is unaware of it.

Vinay, an NCC Cadet, has a major responsibility to accomplish Operation Sambhav at any cost. This mission requires his major company with Vidushi while on a nationwide journey without her knowledge. All the members or persons close to Vidushi are guiding and motivating Vinay to step further and complete this task. But what seems easy is the most difficult way to win a girl's heart, especially when her boyfriend Tushaar betrayed her trust.

It is quite intriguing to read the snippets of the past and present altogether meticulously depicted by the author. I admired the thrill maintained in this romance of knowing what exactly this operation is... What if Vidushi finds out? Her journey of realizing her self-worth and moving on to say thank you to her ex-boyfriend on his wedding day is also quite compelling.

The author has well-penned the thrill in the storyline, and hidden curiosity is generated, creating a hook for the reader. The concept of child trafficking is depicted along with the mental turmoil or tribulations of kids, beautifully portrayed. Each phase begins with a Sanskrit shloka that enhances the urge to read. Though lengthy, the tale is engrossing. The well-crafted plot with the depiction of the seven promises of a wedding ritual of Saptapadi makes the read full of romantic thrill with a Dharmic twist where one is poured a lot of information on Dharma.

Overall, the book provides a journey of India to different places where each phase of this operation is accomplished. It provides a romance with the need for eradicating child traffickers from India. An urge to speak out against wrongdoings and take a stand if you feel you are right and not accept the attitude that endangers your well-being or life. Do grab this book if you like reading romantic escapades.
