This is the story of Vaidehi Taman, who, amidst many challenges, wanted the fourth estate never to lose its authenticity, whatever it may take.To survive in a competitive world, everyone resorts to approaches that may or may not suffice the meter that conscience has. In this regard, the author highlights the hurdles journalists confront in India, where extreme right and left ideologies frequently polarise the media landscape. 

This book takes us through the journey of a lady from quitting her job and picking up courage to start a new business with all the challenges around it to being a proud owner of Newsmakers Achievers award. This business sees lots of ups and downs, changes in industry, changes in consumer preferences, situations of Covid and various other factors. Later on, when Vaidehi started " Newsmakers Achievers Awards" - mostly for raising funds, they turned out to be the most prestigious awards.

This book introduces us to many personalities and the way these awards progressed. This book proves motivation for entrepreneurs. The language of the book is easy to follow, so it can be a choice for beginners. The book sheds light on Taman's independent newspaper, Afternoon Voice, and its mission to provide a platform for citizen journalists and column writers.
