Book review:
"Survival At Stake" is an insightful and thought-provoking read. In this book, Poorva Joshipura, a leading animal rights activist strongly argues that humans are like animals. So it's not hard to believe that if humans keep on thinking of themselves as superior and breaking the eco-system as per their wishes then the day is not far away when public health threats become even more catastrophic.
She explains the important role every animal plays in nature - how our fates are intertwined. She equips the readers with the knowledge to make informed choices and helps us to navigate our mindset from one of exploiting nature to that of recognising ourselves as only one part of the ecosystem.
It reveals dazzling experiences of animals being killed for vanity and highlights how animals add to the greatness of our lives. Numerous exercises have serious repercussions and can cause more damage the entire biome by and large. Each part creeps up out of nowhere, leaving you with a more significant perception of fundamental qualifications and how we can add to saving the planet. She investigates how hunting untamed life prompts pandemics and diseases, which, in this way, hurt us.
I appreciate the way the author has meticulously shared her opinion with details and references that help the reader understand the statistics of so many industries. These industries are slaughtering animals for their benefit and indirectly harming the individual on the whole
Quote from the book that rose my curiosity to know more:
" Nikolas Cruz may have never killed if society took more action on link between animal abuse and mass murderers".
The author concludes by sharing her valuable suggestions for what governments and industries should follow to save nature. But I personally feel it is a great change so need the help and support of the the whole fraternity of humans.
This book left me breathless and amazed at how things are affecting our lives while most of us are clueless. This book is packed with useful information that everyone should read to identify their flaws. The book is a useful resource for anybody looking to gain a better knowledge of the effects of their choices, and it makes a strong case for a more sustainable and humane approach to food consumption, among other things
Overall, this book reminds the readers of a science lesson we used to study in school about interrelation of animals and humans. The book pours light on changing or mending your ways and techniques to save yourself from the environment. Highly recommended!
