Book review:

As a parent, it becomes vital for me to choose the right books for my kids. This summer, I chose for them "The Padmas" by Neha J. Hiranandani. I wanted to share a few stories of the great leaders who acquired the highest civilian honor, the Padma Award.

It is a flawlessly illustrated book on our country's most elevated regular citizens, like Arunima Sinha, APJ Abdul Kalam, Baba Amte, M.F. Hussain, and many more. Declared just before Republic Day consistently, the honours recognize the accomplishments of individuals who have battled to have an impact on the planet.

The book in a word discusses the difficulties, mental fortitude, assurance, and determination of the awardees of this regarded honor, which will emphatically affect the youthful personalities. The language has been kept straightforward, making it simple to grasp. The reality that the book has a great deal of outlines makes it good-looking and a #1 among the children.

As an Indian, I was unaware of the numerous Padma Awardees who are referenced in this book. So I made it a point to provide stories about them to my kids. This book commends the accomplishments of notable characters as well as unrecognized achievers. So the book is directing heavenly messengers to youthful readers to accomplish Padma Awards in the future.

My kids enjoyed hearing the stories of these literary and smart people. They even cherished the illustrations and how beautifully the stories were depicted. They gradually grasped the true meaning of intelligence and how one can utilize their smartness in one way or another for public welfare.

Through this book, the author has furnished us with an understanding of the existence of these exceptional individuals and the deeds that made them what they are today, and she has given us a definitive recognition of them through her unassuming words. Her evocative narrative made me cherish each story and relish the moments.

I personally enjoyed the stories of S.N. Bose, Pandit Jasraj, and Melville De Mellow. These fifty incredible stories prove that their determination, perseverance, and courage are the only ingredients needed to accomplish remarkable things.

Overall, this book is a transformative read for all kids. Highly recommended!
