Thirty Summer Poems and Conversations about a Murder by Sabarna Roy | Book review

Book review :
A beautiful collection of poems that take you on a journey of emotions and  explore themes of love, loss, and the complexities of human relationships. The book  is a compelling collection that combines poetry and prose to create a rich tapestry of emotions and ideas.

The book is divided into two parts. The first part consists of thirty poems, each capturing a distinct emotion or experience associated with the summer season. The second part of the book comprises conversations about a murder, delving into the dark and mysterious aspects of human nature. Through a fearless exploration of the intricacies of human psychology, the book delves into the enigmatic layers of a murder mystery, gripping readers right from the start.

Few of the proses that piqued me :

💘 "There was a time when I did not want to be a father The perplexing valley made me realize: That being a father made me vulnerable I was destined to make my son a man of the earth Guard him from calamities and sorrow".

💘 "You cannot give up on your hard work of becoming a racing driver Sometimes the world spins around your head Nausea rips you apart You live in illusions For you have confused dreams with what is real".

The poet has beautifully weaved the emotions and murder mystery along with deep feelings in an enthralling manner. Language is lucid and vividly depict the scenes. The tapestry of emotions flows in a meticulous manner that becomes heartily.

Overall, The book creates a unique reading experience that lingers in the hearts of its readers. This work transcends typical genre conventions, encompassing a wide range of human emotions, life's complexities, and death's profoundness.
