The Indomitable by Ashish Karwasra | Book review

Book review:

"The Indomitable" is a beautifully crafted tale of love and resilience that leaves a lasting impression. This book is a celebration of the human spirit and a testament to the unwavering power of love in overcoming life's challenges.  This dramatic narrative offers a genuine and honest account of the protagonist's journey through love, sorrow, and acceptance, leaving readers on an emotional rollercoaster.

The story revolves around an ambitious girl Apoorva and her college love interest, Ashish. Apoorva's family disapproves of their wish to get married to each other and Apoorva ends up in an arranged marriage. With genuine respect for her husband, she tries to move on untill the past knocks her door. She gets back to think about the day when she first met him.

Ashish's journey of becoming a weak person because of his muscular dystrophy and ending up in useless or miserable guy made him a unique person. It is intriguing to read how their ways parted and what is the reason for a sudden letter from him after so long?

Quote from the book that piqued me alot:
💥 “We never get the life we desire, we get the life we deserve. We all have to compromise at some point. Either we do it for our happiness or we do it for self-restraint.”
💧"A problem with human nature is the refusal to accept. We don’t want to accept what we don’t like, but more than that we don’t accept what we can’t control. We prefer ignorance over acceptance. It’s either the person who we can’t trust or the person who has never tried to understand how we feel."

The author skillfully depicts her struggle with shame and regret, making her a relatable and inspiring character. The characters' journeys are compelling, and the book serves as a reminder of the strength and hope that lies within us. The blend of past and present makes it a firm believer of the fact that everyone is perfect in his own way. If God has created you then he has some hidden treasures for you that are yet to be unfolded.

Overall, The novel is a holding and touching story of love, misfortune, heart- break hardship, and self-discovery. Worth reading , Do grab it!
