Where Love was Sinful by Chirasree Bose | Book review

Book review:

"Where love was sinful "is the most brutal game of love, greed, retaliation, power, treachery, and hatred. This is a narrative where everything is done just for the sake of love, but no one succeeds in finding true love, and everyone ends up smearing their hands with blood after achieving their selfish aims of love, money, revenge, or power.

The story revolves around the protagonist Maya, Shaaman and Aahil. Maya had an ex-lover in Aahil, but she is now married to Shaaman, grandson of Bhullar Patel. Maya's reason is to find Aahil, who is connected to Patel family in a mysterious way.

The Patels are highly powerful political family. Bhullar Patel is an MLA from Janakpuri. His next target is to find his successor amongst his family members. This political power game turns obnoxious and ugly as blood splatters and death count increases within the house, revealing hidden family secrets and the motive behind it with multiple twists and turns.

The plot has a sub plot of Aahil and Maya. The twisted angles and sub angles makes the story more entangled and captivating. The way love is the main source of all games and plans makes it a compelling read.

The characters are well-developed and fascinating. The author's writing style is excellent. The text is rife with language. The author had a vision and conviction to give an enthralling thriller novel, but she had packed in too much to consume and crowded in with twists that's too convenient for her move the story forward.

Overall, The book is a gripping and riveting read that has an enthralling impact. The cluster of web and subwebs makes it a compelling read. Worth reading , do grab it!

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness for Combating Overthinking, Achieving Stress Relief, and Attaining Absolute Peace  Deekay | Book Review What is turbulence? Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...
