Daughter's War Understanding the History Better by Mr. Manjunath Mullangi | Book review

 Book review:

The book explores the history of the Nazis and how patriotic Germans were forced to fight for them. It presents a fresh and engaging perspective on a well-explored topic and is accessible to readers of all ages and backgrounds.

The story starts when Gena, a young girl of 8, along with her three cousins, invited their Aunt Emma to immerse herself in the world of children's imaginative play while attempting to persuade her to reconsider her view of Nazi Germany's history. Emma was instantly curious about the game that the children had invented, where they would not be seeing things as they are, but rather imagining them like all the others.

The author emphasizes the need to understand history better to prevent similar atrocities from happening in the future. His  ability to present complex historical events in a way that is accessible to children is commendable.

Overall, the book provides a fresh perspective of history and provides another view of Nazis.  The book beautifully captures the essence of a child's imagination, curiosity, and their ability to think beyond the ordinary. Gena's story highlights the importance of educating children about the history of the world. Worth reading, do grab it!
