Kill the Lawyers by Shishir Vayttaden | Book review

 Book review:

"Kill the Lawyers" is a funny fiction book set in the legal world of Bombay. It has nine entertaining stories that show different situations in the legal field. The stories take place in a law firm in Mumbai and follow Edamarra Edwin, a junior partner with a unique way of doing things.

Edwin's unconventional approach to his profession sets him apart, and the narrative unfolds as he navigates the intricacies of corporate law with flair. The stories not only delve into the intrigues of the legal realm but also offer a nuanced view of Edwin's professional growth and personal maturation. One story, "Taking Hostages," caught my interest the most.

The author, Vayttaden, does a great job mixing legal stuff with humour, making the book both enjoyable and informative. The characters are well-developed, and the storytelling paints a vivid picture of the legal world. Although the book is great overall, there are times when more details could help the reader understand certain parts better.

The language used in the book is simple, but there's a lot of legal jargon that might confuse readers. It would be better if the author explained these terms to make it easier to understand.

In conclusion, "Kill the Lawyers" is a short but challenging read due to its language. If you're okay with that, it's a good book with a unique take on the legal world, blending humour and insight.
