Leapfrog: Six Practices to Thrive by Mukesh Sud, Priyank Narayan | Book review

Book review :

"Leap Frog" uses robust research to provide practical advice to anyone who wishes to grow and thrive. It provides a toolkit for envisioning possible futures and identifying promising moves by which one can navigate one's future.

The book has merely six chapters that pour the reader with meticulously woven or real-life stories along with practical measures to imbibe for a big change. The tables, flowcharts, and little representation of content make it more engrossing and kicks off the speed to read the book.

Each chapter of the book is designed to facilitate understanding, incorporating helpful tools such as pointers, charts, graphs, and illustrations. These visual aids assist readers in comprehending the concepts and processes discussed. The book offers invaluable advice and practical tips for thriving in the workplace, with the added benefit of sharing success stories from the author's own students.

This book is a great source of inspiration and guidance for people looking for motivation and direction in pursuing their aspirations because it offers helpful tips on boosting confidence, accepting failure, and converting ideas into profitable ventures.

The author has developed a framework called Personal Journey Map which helps in imbibing and implementing the six principles or practices by capturing one's current repertoire, scanning the landscape ahead, and curating a path to a career in which one can prosper.

Their book includes so many live examples. From all of these, I preferred the example of the Magazine Reader's Digest which has maintained its quality and made it a big brand by using its hallmark called Curation.  The author focuses on three pillars of Curation:

๐Ÿ“Œ Narrow your choices with simple rules

๐Ÿ“Œ Focus on the essential

๐Ÿ“Œ Detect and debunk bullshit

The book is well-written and engaging, and the authors do a good job of providing real-world examples to illustrate their points. The six practices are all valuable, and the book provides a comprehensive framework for achieving success in the workplace.

Overall, Leapfrog is highly relatable,  entertaining and a powerful read for every lawyer or professional who cares about their career. Simple or vivid explanation with diagrams makes it a compelling, engrossing read.
