You Are The Best Friend by Ajay K Pandey | Book review

Book review :

Friends play a vital role in everyone's life. What if your best friend has a role in changing your life and turning you into a new personality that enhances your growth and uplifts you from all grievances and turn you into a happy living person. Such a heart warming story of the author that pulls you in a pool of emotions.

The story begins with Ajay who is fighting the demons residing inside after the demise of his loving wife , his friend, Bhavna. Both of them were so deep indulged that a sudden death of his wife excludes him from being social. That lays him sympathetic in everyone's eyes and parts him away from social gatherings.

Then, he meets Anisha, a lively girl . She  is shocked to see how Ajay hated  God leaving her startled to think ,How can a person hate God? Where would that hatred lead him?  Anisha is ready to judge Ajay harshly. But what is visible through eyes is sometimes proven wrong by heart. His simple, caring and guileless gesture changes her perception of him. So begins the journey of two people who are poles apart.

It is intriguing to read about the rollercoaster ride of events that changes their outlook towards life completely. The way the circumstances unravel the two souls together is quite engrossing.

The author has meticulously weaved his story and depicted that one should accept the fate and not question the decision of God. All lies in God's will. The storyline is vividly depicted in lucid manner. His heart touching lines especially for mother are outstanding.

Overall, You are the best friend is sweet , engaging, quick read that depicts the loving heart of Bhavna who encouraged him to fight back and start looking at life in a positive way.

A light read recommended to all!

Whom to trust by Mehak Karlra | Book review

Book review :

Whom to Trust is a gripping , intriguing and weird way of depicting true facts of life whether  it is intertwining love, betrayal and confusion in an intricate plot. The easy going of her life is shattered in a single moment after the death of her parents and the journey of life's reality begins.

The book is a story of a jovial girl , Myra who gets unconditional support from her father . But after the demise of her parents on the trip to Kasauli , she was bitterly depressed and in  her feeble condition she is left with only one person her sister, Mishika. Both of them with different perspectives and a low condition and need of love and support.

The intertangling of relationships in quest of love and moral support to cope up from the depression of loss of parents creates a blur image of understandings and misassumptions leading to more pain and discomfort. The rollercoaster ride of emotions and turmoils of pain and much more keeps the reader hooked up from the start till the end. The love triangle between Myra, her elder sister Mishka, and Rivansh forms an  essential aspect of the story. The story ends up in one question Whom to Trust ?

The author has masterfully portrayed the complexities of human relationships, which are often full of confusion and misunderstandings. As the story unfolds, readers are taken through a journey of emotional highs and lows, leaving them speechless. The book is just filled with a plethora of uneven thoughts, some poems, which keeps the readers on the edge.

Overall, the book provides a platform to reconsider the realities of life , who to trust and who not to trust. Is someone close to you can ever take place of your parents? A harsh reality of life weaved in an adroit manner. Do grab this book .

Book review : The Demons of Jaitraya

Book review :

The demons of Jaitraya is the first book of the trilogy of the war between demons and humans.  In this book,  Aishani and Adheesh are overwhelmed by the power of the demons. The sole purpose of Aishani & Adheesh’s reincarnation time & again is for the greater good to win over the evils that have escaped from the time of Ramayana.

The story starts with Hanuman seeking help and calling his lord Rama . As Lord Rama hold him in his lap, the conversation of Rama and His devotee Hanuman begins. Hanuman explains how he didn’t have success in catching demons and how they escape. Then the story suddenly swtitches to the modern times where  Aishani, a normal girl who doesn’t know she is a warrior and savior of the whole humanity. She has protectors, she is getting taught by teachers of various subjects in her Gurukul. Gurukul is made by magic or unidentified science, when a student is eligible to unlock a specific area like library they need to earn it. Adeesh,  soul mate of Aishani from past births. Both are the warriors through generations and  all they need is a nudge towards their destiny & duty to ward off evil. When good & bad co-exists in this century the challenges and stakes are much higher, will it be as simple as it seems?

The author has well penned the storyline in a  very descriptive and elequent manner, and it gives you a glimpse of almost every aspect. The language was lucid, and but  a prolonged read  may turn out to be monotonous.

Overall, the book is a wonderful mythological fiction that keeps you engrossed with its snippets from past and present. The highly magical world of Gurukul makes it more riveting. Do grab this book if you like mythological fiction.

Blitz : Bookworm

 Synopsis:

Bookworm (buk-werm): Someone who loves books, reading, and/or studying. For reference, see Charlotte Kent.

Seventeen-year-old Charlotte Kent likes happy endings. Not that she’s looking for one herself. Awkward, never been kissed, and bookish to the core, Lottie would rather read about love than experience it.

But she enjoys helping others find their HEA in books.

Lottie loves working at the library…even if it means running into Bo Stryker.

Broody, athletic, and unfairly attractive when he frowns, Bo works at the flower shop across the street. Lottie is about to get rejected…when surprisingly, Bo steps in, pretends to be her boyfriend, and steals her first kiss.

One viral video later, everyone thinks they’re together.

Bo wants to keep pretending. Lottie wants to make amends—long story short: she was on a ladder; he startled her; the book slap was an accident.

A fake relationship may be the solution. But as they grow closer, Lottie can’t help falling for Bo—which is a disaster because grumpy sunshine only works in fiction…right?

This book features two opposites with undeniable chemistry, one lovable librarian, so many stolen kisses and answers the question:

What happens when a nerd falls for the grump-next-door?
