My Clarity by M. Clarke | Book review

Book review:

'My Clarity' was a sweet,  an emotional tale of love, friendship and perseverance.

The story starts with Alexandria who loses her father to cancer. She moves to college to recollect herself and ends up sharing a room with an unexpected stranger, Elijah. It revolves around how these two, with opposite personalities, manage their lives together in the same room. She knows she's going to live in her cousins former room with a roommate named Ellie. What she doesn't know is that "Ellie" is actually Elijah...a hot, tattooed and hot guy that does illegal racing to support himself.

Elijah and Alex were definitely attracted to each other, but they were roommates and didn't want to ruin that. So as they figured out how to live with one another, so many of their moments were beyond adorable. But there were also moments that held pain, heartache and secrets. And they both made mistakes, they each had so much to learn and grow as the story unfolded. But  the moments Alex got Elijah or Elijah was nice to Alex my heart soared. They didn't have an easy path, but I loved watching every minute of it.

The author paints a beautiful story that sucks you in and you find yourself not being able o put the book down. The characters are well-developed and the storyline has heart and soul. Despite the hardships of their mutual past, the two main characters learn to rise above their pain and find a mutual healing in each other. There is real depth to this book and it pulls you in from the start, keeping you on the edge of the seat.

Overall,  The story has its moments of both love and heartache, of laughter and tears, and of everything going downhill to ending perfectly where it should. The character development is commendable, even for the secondary characters. This book definitely was an emotional rollercoaster.
