Dumbness is a boon ? | A2Z Challenge 2024

 Dumbness is a boon?

Are you dumb or naive? How it feels if someone calls you by this? Irritating know? Some are really stupid and some pretend to be. Depicting dumb works a million times better when you are manipulating a task or someone.

No one likes to provide extra work to a dumb person because he is not expected to be capable enough. Only active and hardworking persons are provided with extra responsibilities. One such person who gained a lot with her dumbness is Manisha.

Manisha is a hardworking, sincere and reliable worker in a school. Her day begins with all household chores and getting ready to go for duty. As she reaches in hustle and bustle to school, she had to clean all the rooms before the children arrive. She usually finished her work before time.

Due to her introvert nature, she didn't mingle up with her colleagues. Others used to gossip behind her back about her ego and secretive nature. They felt she is of no use to approach as she usually sat alone during lunch time or spoke to the limit.

One day the Principal decided to choose the best worker for Labour day prize. All started guessing who the person can be. Days passed, on labour day the prize was announced to Manisha giving a layer of shock to everyone. No one could ever think she reaches this height of appreciation in limited period of time frame.

Her sole focus on work during work hours led her to the next ladder of happiness and prosperity. She gives a heart touching speech that tears roll down all the audience.

Benefits of dumb need:

1. No one over exerts you.

2. Half the work is shifted to active participating person.

3. Allowing for stupidity in some areas also liberates space for genius in other areas. This is a well-known benefit of unlearning.

4. Genius is not dictated by how much we know, but rather by how much power knows us.

5. Making ourselves available to power requires us to let down our guard, our skepticism, our evaluation, and to trust like never before.

In Law # 21 -”Play a sucker to catch a sucker — seem dumber than your mark.”

“Always make people believe they are smarter and more sophisticated than you are. They will keep you around because you make them feel better about themselves, and the longer you are around, the more opportunities you will have to deceive them.” Pg 161 -The 48 Laws of Power.

Overall, playing a dumb card is not easy enough for persons who don't have patience.
