Book review:
"A Poet's Ballad: A Crossword Mystery" by Aditya Banerjee is a mix of interest, culture, and shrewd riddles, this book guarantees an undertaking that will keep you enthusiastically flipping pages until the end. This is an enrapturing story set in 1980, lacing the existences of Mahesh Pal and Aarvi Lal, two people united by baffling crosswords left by the late Teacher Devesh Tripathi. The story unfurls with a superb mix of secret, sentiment, and self-revelation against the scenery of cultural assumptions and individual yearnings.
Mahesh Pal is a Delhi graduate understudy getting ready to join a PhD program in distant London, Britain. Aarvi Lal is the director at her family's ages-old book shop, getting ready for her conventional wedding in about fourteen days. Both face colossal life-altering events when they each get an odd legacy from a nearby resigned college teacher whose passing might not have been pretty much as unplanned as it has been guaranteed — the normal connection among the three is their affection for crossword puzzles.
I was promptly brought into the story by the simple and legitimate kinship among Mahesh's college companions. The author totally catches in his depiction the embodiment of this time in Mahesh's life as he plans to leave in the following period of his scholastic vocation, and he does so rapidly and in a couple of pages! You could understand without much of a stretch grasp Mahesh's clashing feelings: energy for the future, trouble over leaving his loved ones, and second thoughts that he and his dad don't appreciate both perspectives about his choice to proceed with his examinations as opposed to get back to work in the privately-owned company.
The author easily made stunning secrets and a large number of pages revealed them with a spot of the assigned air of 80's India and uncovered the social scene in the bedlam of India's most established city Benaras.
This book offers a homicide secret that is capably concealed inside crosswords, a glaring evaluation of the friendly way of behaving investigating the place of ladies in this time and digging into the childhood way which makes ladies bombastic and detached from their own character. Amidst the homicide secret creator dove into a materialistic fixation for manageability and the contention between fluttering the wings of longing for our own normal cravings, finding an obscure area of dreams, and compromising associations with switches comes around like a demonstration of assessment of life.
Generally speaking, "A Poet's Ballad: A Crossword Mystery" isn't just a story of tension; it is an impactful investigation of character, love, and the extraordinary excursion of self-disclosure. With its all-around created plot, clear symbolism, and appealing characters, the novel spellbinds readers from beginning to end, leaving them longing for more.

I like the idea of secrets in crosswords. Seems to be a well planned and well thought out book, adding it to my TBR list.
