Who's My Next Victim?: Dreams are harmless... or are they? by Shivani R P
Who's my Next Victim?

Dreams are so endearing. One feels to fulfil them at any price. But can these dreams be scary even? I was intrigued by the blurb of this book and grabbed it in a jiffy. This book shares the story of a girl who dreams of residing in a big city, enjoying the company of friends, and learning more than textbooks.

Who’s My Next Victim?—Dreams Are Harmless, Or Are They?” is a gripping psychological thriller that combines mystery, dark arts, and an exploration of deep human emotions. From the first page, the story pulled me into an intense and suspenseful journey of secrets, dreams, and revelations that kept you guessing at every turn.

The story begins with June, who is informed by her parents that she will live her dream of boarding after reaching California. She feels depressed about leaving her family and friends. But a thrill is alluring her to explore the world of her dreams. But deep inside, she does not want to leave for boarding. Her face betrays her many times.

June, Ava, Asher, and Austin, four high school friends, are thrown into chaos when their classmate Grace mysteriously and tragically passes away. What initially seems like a straightforward mystery soon takes a dark and eerie turn. Dreams start haunting the friends, revealing cryptic clues and unsettling secrets that challenge their understanding of reality.

The suspense builds layer by layer, as each clue and revelation draws the characters deeper into a tangled web of danger and deceit. The author, Shivani R. P., masterfully blurs the lines between dreams and reality to create a spooky atmosphere that keeps the reader on edge!

Quotes from the book that piqued me:
💛"Tomorrow would be a new chapter, and despite the sadness of leaving, June was resolute. Her determination burnt like a bright flame, pushing back the shadows of uncertainty as she sought her place in this new world."

The author has portrayed Diya's trauma and recovery so poignantly and inspiringly that readers can deeply reflect on the strength needed to overcome adversity. It is a significant read for individuals who are interested in personal triumph stories because the narrative is motivating and heartbreaking at the same time.

The writing of author Shivani R. P. is sharp and evocative, perfectly conveying the story's suspense and emotions. The novel's eerie atmosphere is captured by the descriptive prose, and the empathetic dialogue gives the characters more depth. The pace is spot-on, and each chapter ends with suspense that makes you want to keep reading.

Overall, 'Who's My Next Victim?' is an exciting read, especially for mystery fans who enjoy a dark mystery.

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness for Combating Overthinking, Achieving Stress Relief, and Attaining Absolute Peace  Deekay | Book Review What is turbulence? Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...

The Psychology of Marketing: How Marketers Trick Us Into Buying More by Harinder Singh Pelia | Book Review Marketing is such an in-depth concept that it always transitions according to consumer preferences. The extent to which marketers go to sell their products will blow our minds away, as money comes first rather than people's needs. Even the bare detail that hints at our desires is manoeuvred to boost sales figures, often overshadowing the genuine connection between a brand and its audience. This relentless pursuit of profit can lead to practices that prioritise persuasive tactics over transparency, leaving consumers feeling manipulated rather than empowered. sales. How to make money might be in our control, but how money goes out of our pocket might not be, as psychology is in cohesion with marketing.
