The combination of fantasy and mythology world really well and the use of mythology adds another layer to the story. The magic system is unique with the ancient martial system.

The book captures Isva's mental turmoil as he grapples with a new reality. The interactions between Isva and friends are fun. The world building is vivid and imaginative.
