Book review : Kindling : Prequel to rage of the Immortals

 Book review :

Kindling is a poignant and beautifully written prequel , emotionally charged fantasy novel. It delves deep into the complexities of love, sacrifice, and protection and explores the lengths people are willing to go to keep the ones they love safe. 

The story revolves around two brothers, Cifer, who rules the Underworld, and Atom, the king of Heaven. Both brothers are kings in their own realms. They are two of the countless offspring of God and Goddess, Dave and Davie. Cifer has a tremendous amount of affection for his younger brother, Atom, and he tends to look after him constantly.

Cifer and Ivprith, the lady of the wild, have developed feelings for one another and intend to marry in the near future. Atom, on the other hand, went through the exact same thing when Cifer introduced him to Ivprith; he was immediately fallen for her, but he buried his feelings for her deep down inside of him.

But when she crosses paths with Atom, the swoon-worthy King of Heaven, and the two of them quickly develop friendship and become support systems for each other. Vishaad, a warrior Ukhab who thrives on others' suffering, steps in at this point and sets his sights on Atom as his prey. It is intriguing to read to what extent they go to save Atom from Vishaad.

The author has well penned the storyline depicting the extent to which one can go to save the person one loves. The extremeties are expressed in an adroit manner leading to express fear of losing close one whether right or wrong. Language is lucid and the characters are well plotted.

I liked reading this book and would recommend this book to all.

Book review : The Shadow Children

 Book review :

The Shadow Children is the second book in the Sloane and Maddie: Peril Awaits series. Twists and turns, witty humor and a “didn’t see that coming” story. Great writing, fast-paced and entertaining.

Sloane and Maddie should be enjoying their holiday away together but they always seem to get themselves involved in a case. This time it is children that have gone missing. Within the tunnels of the historic port city of Savannah, fourteen-year-old Andi Leland has her mind set on freedom—not just for herself but for all the other teens who have come before her. But it is not to be. As Andi’s dragged into the hellhole that would have them all sold to the highest bidder, she hears the strangled cries of a fellow captive echoing from the room below. When the silence comes, she knows she will never see that girl again. And she wonders … Who will save them now? 

 I love Maddie and Sloane and the way they go about trying to solve this case. Always a great read and can't wait for the next book in this series. The author has well penned the thrilling storyline with so much intriguing factor to keep the reader hooked up.

Book review : Brighde Reborn

Book review :

Brighde Reborn is a Young Adult Fantasy novel inspired by Celtic mythology . It is  Easy, quick and delightful read that is not too complicated, but with the right amount of character and world building. 

We learn about Bridget as the story unfolds about her powers and all the secrets that revolve around her and Trip's family, which leads her romantic relationship with Trip is complicated, especially with the feud between their families. 

 Little Bridget  was imagining that her meeting with Trip would change her life. She is in love, even if according to her cousin Cailean, he is the enemy.  Both are descendants from Scottish goddesses, and both possess the power to save the world. But both need the power of a mysterious amulet to do it. Of course, there is only one of the kind, reason why the cute guy and his family should be considered as nemesis. Between mundane high school routine, and supernatural world, Bridget learns to use her gifts, and hopefully makes the right choices.  The book ends with a small cliffhanger that seems to open the door for the next book.

The author has beautifully weaved the storyline with well developed characters. The narration is done in a vivid and in an engrossing  manner. Language is lucid and beginner friendly. 

I liked reading this book and would recommend this book to all adult fantasy book lovers. I am thankful to @katiebreypa and @lj_sommers for providing me this book in return of an honest review.

This book is a comprehensive guide to retirement planning in India. People in India are majorly seen in three categories :
📌 Upper middle-class
📌 Lower middle  class
📌 Below Poverty line
Rich people have their assets in abundance so hardly ponder on investing. But these three categories need to ponder very deeply on how to invest and where to maintain their status or helping oneself to have bread and butter throughout their life time. When I grabbed this book , I was startled to read a detailed helpline in understanding the basics of personal finance in order to plan for future with confidence.

In today's scenario where many websites offer good income by simply playing, one needs to understand the basics before investing their hard earned money in any of the market or games. I got to learn about stock market investing, real estate investing and fixed income investments such as bonds, mutual funds , and other investment options.

The author ponders on the fact , "To make the most of your income and savings , its important to become financially literate , so you can distinguish between good and bad advice and make smarter decisions ". His detailed advice with proper flowcharts and comparative study makes it easy for any lay person to understand the statistics behind investing whether in fixed income , insurance or any long term plans.

His lucid manner and in- depth analysis of so many investment options makes the reader quite literate about many facts and to take a smart decision for their life depending upon their sources of income becomes crystal clear.

I learned so many tips and strategies to plan out my investing options and would recommend this book to all Indians.
