Alone in a boat by Sumit Tok | Book review

Book review :
"Alone in a boat" is a beautiful collection of poems depicting the love for nature . The poems are based on different aspects of life, with nature as playing a huge role as metaphors. The author captures those beautiful moments and the emotions of one’s own inner self opens up in the nature all alone.

Rich with metaphors, vibrant in rhythm, toned with symbolism, soaked in emotions, the poems entangle the phenomena of nature with the experiences of life. Beaming with the joy of creation, the untitled poems embrace the urge of the poet to become one with the nature.

Few proses that piqued me a lot :
💗 "I am
       on my path
       going nowhere.
       I fulfil the purpose
of those I meet along the way. "
The poet has soaked so many emotions depicting the life of every individual. Each one of us is walking on our own paths , doing our daily chores, enhancing our responsibilities, a little step each time but still could not make everyone happy. So alone we are moving on our paths.

💗 “Don’t waste your time
       walking on grass.
       Spend your time
       chanting the sacred text.
       Surrender to the supreme.”
The author has beautifully narrated the true path and not waste time in satisfying others , though it is your duty but to fulfill the need of the soul is priority. So each individual should surrender to the supreme power, God and all things will fall in place automatically.

Overall, the book renders a deep enthralling impact that leaves the reader mesmerized throughout. Do grab your book for nature's poems blend with life's reality.
