Sukoon by Wajid Shaikh | Book review

Book review :
"Sukoon" is a mesmerizing collection of nazms, poetries, soulful couplets and life lessons that takes readers on an enchanting journey through the depths of human emotions and experiences.

Few of the verses I want to share:
💦 Soch kaisi hainn, emaan kaisa hainn Lafz bata dete hainn insaan kaisa hainn —Wajid shaikh

Words of a person and how one deals with others depict the character of a person. A soft hearted person will think twice before hurting others. Its the words used and how clarify the thought process going on....

💦"Kaafi tanha hu,aur tanhaa hi kaafi hu Meinn kaha suntaa hu Apni zid ka aadi hu Yeh kya baaki hainn
Jo haawi kar rahe hainn Hum ab zinda hainn nahi Zinda hone ka haq adaa Kar rahe hainn"
—Wajid shaikh
I am alone and fully satisfied being alone. I live to satisfy my wishes or desires as i don't listen to anybody. The one's who want to pressurize know very well that I am only completing the task of being alive....very truly said...

Many persons who are hurt by their closed ones don't bother caring for other and try living on their own terms. A person who listens is not because he cant do his will , it's just that he cares.

💦 "tum jis din logo ki baatein nazarandaaz karna sikh gaye unke kiye pe chalna unke kahe ko badalna sikh gaye us din tum zindagi jeena sikh gaye kyuki koi kisi ko aage badhta dekh khush nahi hota bahoot kam hain aise jo waakai bhala sochte hain ".
Truly said, life changes the day a person decides to listen to his instincts rather than other people as other can only manipulate but reality can be felt only by you.

The author has beautifully narrated the truths of life in simple couplets, nazms that are really heartwarming. Vivid and simplicity is its best virtue.

Overall, a good read and worth reading!

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness for Combating Overthinking, Achieving Stress Relief, and Attaining Absolute Peace  Deekay | Book Review What is turbulence? Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...
