Few of the proses that piqued me :

Book review :

The Grabber is middle-grade dark fantasy based on the legend of the Black Taj that follows the story of 12 yrs old Nuru who was chosen by Mumtaz to fulfill the prophecy of fighting the evil sorcerer buried under The Black Taj with sixty-four severed hands that built the White Taj Mahal. The intriguing storyline with beautful illustrations or pictures hook the reader from the beginning till the end.

This is the story of the black Taj - symbol of hate. Nuru the young lad of Baldev who is curious about  folklore, befriended a friendly Djinn Mumtaz, who helped him acquire magical skills. During one such adventure in the deep forests, Nuru meets Jack a soldier from the British army, as both escape from being hunted by the devil.

How is the legend of a Black Taj, the haunted twin of the magnificent Taj Mahal related to what is happening in Nuru’s village? Will Nuru and Jack be able to join hands to end this otherworldly creature forms the rest of the story?

The author has meticulously blend the flavour of mystery, suspense and historical facts with horror. His unique vision of enlightening the kids with right and wrong deeds and how it can effect the generations is vividly depicted. Though the book has some horror element but still the dialogues of father and son to inspire him to do correct thing for the villagers is a source of inspiration for many kids and parents.

Overall, Grabber is a blend of horror and history that invokes interest in knowing how prophecy undergoes in quest of saving the world from bad spirits . The book teaches the power of friendship, the allure of the unknown, and the importance of courage in the face of adversity. A must-read for beginners seeking an immersive and unforgettable reading experience.

The story revolves around few characters like deadly terrorist,  the richest man , poverty stricken man and an ordinary man. As their need gets stronger to save their loved ones to protect their ego, power or invested time and money the story starts to begin.

The story begins with the intriguing celebration by Abu Hamza before the 21st birthday of his beloved brother , Abu Zamal. But the scenario changes when Zamal is rushed to the hospital and he gets the news of a weird sickness and providing him a few days to live. 

In Mumbai, the billionaire Mr. Mahesh Jumani has invested trillions of money , invited high profile persons to celebrate his son's birthday and launch his son into the world of his business empire. His aspirations, desires are shattered after a few minutes when doctors clarify that his son has only a few days more.

A rag picker, Deen Dayal who never gave up even in trivial situations at last has only one wish that his dearest son or his only hope of living after the demise of all his family members in the floods should survive from a unique disease.  His son has also few days to live.

Their enters our super hero, Romil Mishra an ordinary person with extra ordinary powers. As his powers gets acknowledged by these needy people, a race begins. It is intriguing and captivating to read about how their paths cross and who will find the benefit of his powers. Will Romil survive or Succumb?

The author has well penned the storyline with ample twists and turns. The way jihad is addressed to enhance awareness and logical thinking for the benefit of our country is outstanding. Narration of the plot is lucid and fast paced.

Overall, Crimson bane is a engrossing story of characters from different backgrounds and how each part in the well being of our country. The true motive of imparting awareness among Indians is meticulously weaved.  Do grab this book for a rollercoaster ride of emotions and dramatic events.

Mystery behind the Disapperared | Book review

 Book review :

A gripping thriller that engrossed me deeply from the first page till the end. The rollercoaster ride of emotions, suspense  , fear and hope to rescue the  girls. The fast paced narration and engaging storyline kept me guessing what will happen next.

The story begins like a normal routine where Parvati was waiting for Noor but the wait extended long. She could be late of so many reasons or some conspiracy held behind her back. Her relatives or someone close could have planned a deep plan behind her disappearence. 

Noor is a domestic help at DCP Mishra's house. As she goes missing mysteriously leaving her family and cops clueless. And then they receive a video sent by the abductor that leaves the DCP and Inspector Raghu speechless. 

To unravel the mystery behind Noor's abduction ,  Cops have to unravel the cold case of abduction or missing Tara, daughter of DCP Mishra. Is there any link between both missings ? It is intriguing to read how they unravel the mystery behind these two cases . The dark secrets, chase for girl's makes the plot quite intriguing and engrossing.

The author has well penned the mystery element from the beginning till the end. Fast paced, entangling clues or leads, deep mystery is maintained till the end. Narration is lucid with vivid description of South Delhi. 

Overall, the book is nail biting page turner , a perfect blend of mystery and social commentary. It is a compelling and thought provoking read. A perfect book for all thriller book lovers. Do grab it.

Caged tiger | Book review

 Book review :

"Caged Tiger" offers a gripping analysis of the importance of institutions in revitalizing Indian democracy. It provides a vivid picture to understand that becoming the world 's third largest economy , the task of providing justice, equity and safety to our Indians is a common responsibility and that should be dealt seriously. 

The book makes you ponder on the fact that who has  India not progressed inspite being capable and full of resources? What is the lagging point? Right after Independence,  India went astray with colonialism morphing into state domination,  which induced stagnation and poverty. In Modi's governance and guidance,  there is emergence of new concepts of freedom and a rethinking of the Indian state. 

The author has put forward in great detail about how in several spheres there have been institutional failures that have contributed to the current state of affairs. He urges to re imagine our politics , not in favour of strong leaders but in strengthening existing constitutions and holding them accountable to do their responsibility well. 

Overall , Caged tiger is a insightful book that evokes so many questions on how we are letting our country dragged towards poverty. Are there any possible solutions to overcome these issues and evoke as a world power ?

Book review :

"Never the Butterfly"is an intriguing and captivating tale that not only hooks the reader from the beginning till the end but also a learning spot for young about english basics.  This novel is a complex and poetic exploration of language, love, and life. 

The story depicts the life of the protagonist, Mohan, a man who has a love-hate relationship with the English language because of his father's penchant for correcting incorrect usage. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Saanjh, a meeting that sets in motion a journey filled with love, confusion, and revelation.

As Mohan grapples with his emotions for Saanjh, a parallel journey unfolds when he meets Aaradhya, a mysteriously beautiful young woman with a penchant for poetry. The best part of this book is in most of the chapters the basics of english is explained through the medium of story that are hardly pondered by most of the youngsters.

A Story Between the Lines by Santhosh Sivaraj | Book Review

 Book review :

"A story between the lines"is a beautiful and insightful read. It has many quotes which will make you ponder on the real meaning of life and the way of living. It beautifully portrays the simple lifestyle of people in villages including their humble, innocent and warm and welcoming nature.

The story revolves around the protagonist Adi who due to an accident, a part of his brain lost the memories of some particular events. All he knew was he loved and married Nila and they were a happy couple. The question left with him was, what had happened that parted Nila from him, and left him in such condition.

Adi dives in past, which took him to his solo trip to faraway mountains, wherein a village he met Nila. Each memory with Nila was so fresh that he could remember, the place, the love felt and that heartthrob when he asked her for marriage. But a wave again throws him to present, where there is no love, no Nila and only frustration and grief remains with him. As he moves on from police to doctor to friends, he finds no clue that what was the missing part of his life, that made him miss his life. In this journey, he comes across different facets of life that would move something inside us too. Would he be able to reach Nila? 

Few quotes that touched me a lot :

💗  “You were very far, Adi. I knew I had to wait long for you. So, I made my every day a little life, every morning a little birth, every evening a little wisdom, and every night a little death.”

💗 ‘The only way to escape the herd was to abandon the fantasy altogether and master your destiny by living for each moment and seeing the world for what it is.’

The author has beautifully penned the pain of losing one's memory, loved ones, a quest to search one's true identity or lost memories. Language of the book is lucid with beautiful illustrations of nature. The plot is well plotted with intriguing characters.

Overall, the book is a heartwarming read with so many turmoils of emotions and a quest to find his true love lost in the circumstances.It's a good one time read but I feel this is not a love story. Listen to your heart, love everything around you and don't go for materialistic cravings for they are not eternal.

I'LL Be There For You by Brieanna Wilkoff | Book Review

Book review :

The book is a thought provoking, intriguing and depicting lots of POV's . The engrossing storyline keeps the reader hooked up from the start till the end. The book is fast-paced with easy writing and likeable characters, this book is exactly what i needed to get out of a reading slump.

The story revolves around Rae , a teenage girl who  just survived the first year without her 80's rock fan Dad. To cope up  she signed up for the school play in an attempt to live another life for a while, with the encouragement of Mac. Along the way she gets up to the usual teenage antics - new friends, first kisses and awkward moments with old friends. The book is basically her quest to learn to be herself again after her Dad's passing, and she does this through passing along acts of kindness.

Another girl,Joss is amazing, and again a very believable teenage girl. Her mega positive vibes or nature and over dramatic attitude about everything . She is such a good friend to Rae throughout the book. It is intriguing to read about Rae and her friend's acts of kindness missions so much. I do find it extremely important to value kindness and friendship, so it was lovely to see an entire book dedicated to just this; spreading kindness.

The author has well penned the teenage turmoils especially after the demise of her father. Language is lucid and quite engrossing. She has beautifully depicted  teenage romance ,the awkwardness of it all, how embarrassing and complicated teenage crushes can be. 

Overall, I liked reading this young adult contemporary romance. I felt a connection to this book and its characters that I don't feel in many books. All the characters have so much depth and personality to them like even the side characters have so much personality.

Throwing punches by Shashant Shetty | Book review

 Book review :

To evaluate your hidden potential , urge to follow and fulfill your dreams or polish your talents to achieve success is not everyone 's cup of tea. The book shares an intriguing,  captivating and engrossing tale of such  two individuals Prithvi and Tehzeeb . 

Prithvi , a middle aged person lost in the monotony of his safe life , loving wife Sudha and his son . Tehzeeb , a young newly married girl brought up in traditional strong culture of Lucknow. Unknown circumstances lead the to identify their hidden talent and live it completely. But to achieve something one has to pay its cost..

It is intriguing to read how both these individuals cope up with their gut feelings and desires and which path they chose? Will they be able to fulfill their desires with less clashes?

The author has well penned the emotional turmoil , hidden desires , opinion clashes and much more. Language is lucid and a compelling storyline.  The plot is quite catchy and hooks the reader from the beginning till the end. 

Overall,  the book is full of twists and turns with smooth transition between scenes. The struggles and triumphs with personal anecdotes makes it a engaging read. Do grab it to know how they overcome hurdles and clashes. 

Taped by Anushka Mehta | Book review

Book review :

"Taped"by Anushka Mehta is a thought provoking book that let the reader empathasise with the characters with its well crafted story. The book also sheds light on women's empowerment and how they can handle challenging situations. It emphasizes the importance of trust, honesty, and intimacy in a healthy relationship.

The story revolves around the protagonist , Tara who falls deeply in love with a man who lives miles away from her. As their relationship progresses, Tara learns that distance and time are no barriers to love, but life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, things don't go as planned.

The author has weaved a well-structured plot. The narrative is engaging, with unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader hooked.  She highlights the challenges of maintaining a connection when physical proximity is not possible, and how time can change the dynamics of a relationship, for better or for worse.

Overall , Taped is a gripping and intriguing journey that takes you through the twists and turns of love and heartbreak. The book has  beautifully captured the essence of love and the unexpected ways it can change your life forever.
 

Fake it till you make it by Leigh Donnelly | Book Review

Book review :

This book is a fun, lightly dramatic, and moderately spicy romantic comedy that is the perfect beach or weekend read. The characters are fun and the interaction between them kept me engaged and rooting for Steve and Maeve throughout all the ups and downs that their exes bring to the page . 

Two people here are trying to overcome their not-so-good previous relationships. The situations they are gerring themselves into are sometimes funny, sometimes unpredictable. It's an easy-reading book. I liked that the main characters knew what they wanted from life and did everything in their power to achieve thir goals. I also loved the small-town vibe I've gotten from reading this book.

The author has well weaved the hilarious moments along with emotional ups and downs to engross the reader throughout. Narration is done in a lucid manner and the depiction of scenes is vividly done. Language of the book is beginner's friendly.

Overall, the book is a romantic comedy that keeps the reader engaged from the start till the end.  A bit of bumbling, unimaginable, laugh-out-loud situations, and plenty of fun and romance. A little steam and a great ending. Just brilliant!
 

Dawn of Chaos by Tiffany Lafleur | Book Review

Book Review :

"Dawn of Chaos "is  a damn action-packed rollercoaster ride to a fantasy world . It's full of action and adventure and intrigue. And it's incredibly impressive that a book that's over 500 pages can be read so quickly.

Sora Rosewood has a lot to learn if she ever wants to use her gift in order to save Sapeiro from Queen Amana. Being the only spirit hopper in existence, she has been a target for the queen her whole life and yet, she still does not know why. That is until her sister, Lenka, shows her an ancient weapon more powerful than anything ever made before, a weapon that was said to be destroyed centuries ago. The Sentinel. And only she has the ability to control it. It is quite intriguing to read how she copes up with all hurdles on the way and finds a way out but at what cost ?

It was engaging, descriptive, and really brought the story to life. I found myself completely absorbed in the words on the page, eagerly flipping from one chapter to the next. The pacing was spot on, with just the right amount of action, suspense, and even some surprising plot twists. The world building is really good, the story has a good pace and I liked how it’s told from different POV’s. There is an intricate magical system to the story, quite a lot of action, political scheming and betrayal.

Overall, "Dawn of Chaos" was an incredible read. If you're a fan of fast-paced storylines, well-developed characters, and immersive fantasy worlds, then this book is an absolute must-read.

As a very talented biologist, Tamar's been chosen to work on the moon station . Once on the station, she settles in with the vibrant group of individuals and soon takes on the new rhythm of the life with its drama, dangers, and special situations. Even on the boyfriend end, things start to happen...and that, although relationships aren't allowed. But even on a base, there are secrets.

Things grow particularly rocky when a cataclysmic event happens on Earth's surface, leaving them stranded. Everyone will have the chance to discover what they're made of in this heart-pumping adventure, filled with complex characters, ethical dilemmas, and gripping relationship drama.

The author has well penned the plot with complex characters. Language is lucid and engrossing narration of the storyline. The world-building is well done and makes the station easy to picture and sink into, and there's always something going on, keeping boredom far away. There are more than a few strings thrown in, which seem to hint at the next books in the series. 

Overall, Resonate is full of games of trust, lies, heart, romance, and survival swirl around a moon station and a dying Earth to create an exciting read.

This book is a fantasy read that intrigues the reader from the beginning till the end. Varied characters and their point of views are depicted meticulously. The mystery behind unravels so many twists and turns. 

The story revolves around Alex who unknowingly falls from one world to another in a lapse of few minutes. But the time period in both the worlds are far different. His journey and transformation to acknowledge and accept this new world is the base of the story.. 

Despite grappling with unanswered questions, both heartbroken Alex and his loyal friend Aiden adapt to their unfamiliar surroundings, driven by a sense of duty. However, miscommunication and misunderstandings strain their friendship as Alex is unexpectedly recruited into a team without consent, adding a compelling layer of conflict.

There are so many suspense elements and Mystery permeates especially regarding the unidentified person relentlessly following the twin brothers. This enigmatic presence, capable of vanishing in an instant, builds curiosity to know what happens next .  

The author has well penned the plot and initial depiction of seperate world where heart plays a role in each decision is quite intriguing concept.

The plot and backstory are engrossing, crafted in easy language that makes it beginner-friendly. 

Language is lucid and quite engrossing and captivating. 

Overall , the book is a blend of suspense, adventure, and an imaginative realm of heart and soul. Though too lengthy but little reads in few days makes you fulfilled with so many adventures, suspense and thrill. Waiting for they next sequel to know the further story. Liked it very much and would recommend this book to all fantasy and thriller book lovers.

Darling, You're Obsessed is a young adult romantic suspense that hops between two timelines and two cities, namely Kolkata and Patna .This book is a  gripping and suspenseful novel, full of danger, passion, and complete page-turner crime suspense thriller novel. The twists and turns keeps the reader at the edge of the seat to know what happens next. 

The story follows two teenaged girls ,Isha and Riya as they transverse through some tough situations and desires. The story begins when Riya gets kidnapped . As the Isha, Riya's father Gopal and Kamal, police inspector try to get her back. The oscillations of past and present makes the storyline more intriguing and riveting. 

The interesting dark truths , tense chases , conspiracies, twisted intentions , distinct love stories, much more made me quite curious until the very end. This book is many things from a coming of age story to a sort of revenge drama and a love story apart from being a piece that explores and examines many facets of human relationship ranging from a father and daughter to friends and even mentor and governess. 

The author has very cleverly penned the storyline with hiccups of past and present to hook the reader to know how their friendship prospers and how Kamal tries hard to join the dots and rescue Riya safely. The plot is well depicted and narration is lucid.

Overall, the book is  a free flowing narrative with plenty of surprising twists and turns. In fact the point what exactly the main issue goes hidden till the end. Do grab this gripping tale of thriller with so many POV's.

This book is set up in 1935 when British ruled India and the storyline meticulously depicts the mindset of people and how the protagonist, Paresh faces so many hurdles as a laThough The work presents the struggles of the honest and sincere solicitor during the interregnum of his five-year sojourn in Panajpur before his growing reputation.

He faces issues of Barriers of nation, caste, colour and creed in the matter of food, clothing and housing. His encounters with the senior lawyers of the town are fraught with conflict. The use of money power, either to settle scores or to undermine the law, results in tragic consequences in some cases. The unholy nexus between self-serving lawyers and corrupt police officers has also been exposed in many of the episodes.

The author provides a vivid depiction of British colonial history during the crucial decade just prior to India’s independence. He pours light on the growing national movement under the Indian National Congress, the role of Mahatma Gandhi, the Muslim League, the “two-nation theory”, and the growing demands for Poorna Swarajya . Narration of that period is done in lucid manner making it a compelling read.

Overall, Panajpur Express is a gripping tale of historical period where Indians were ill treated and depicts in an adroit manner the long held struggle of our top leaders. It also depicts how seeds of two nation were sowed in the minds of leaders and it successfully grew sooner. Though a lengthy read but its interesting to read the legal drama and their technicalities.
