PiaNo by Rathnakumar Raghunath | Book review

Book review:

"PiaNo" is a mesmerizing short story that resonates with all persons who know the vibes of love. The book is a short read but draws the reader on a journey of search for self-worth and love for music.

The PiaNo is a story of Pia and Noelle, two young, charismatic and talented girls connected by the tunes of PiaNo. Noelle is a college student and an orphan who lives with her Godparents. As she doesn't want to burden her uncle and aunt with her college expenses she decides to search for a job. Unfortunately, she could not find any job. One day she sings a song, records it on her phone and posts it on her social media. Her video became viral or a social media sensation overnight.

And a piece of happy news reaches her. She is offered to sing in a bar during her free time. Thus her life takes a good turn. After a while, she goes to Italy for her vacation. There she meets Pia, a pianist. They both feel butterflies in their stomach, the moment they see each other.  They marvellously complement each other incredibly well reminding us how incomplete is a song with no tunes to it. Will this feeling grow deeper? Will they become a couple? Will Noelle go back to her hometown leaving Pia alone?

With the author's vivid and immersive language, readers find themselves strolling through the streets of Rome, absorbed in the emotional landscape of the tale. The musical journey embarked upon by Pia and Noelle becomes a metaphor for their growing relationship, and the exploration of music as a language of love adds depth to the narrative.

Overall, "PiaNo" is a tale of love, music, and human connections that will resonate with a wide range of readers. Worth reading, do grab it!

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness for Combating Overthinking, Achieving Stress Relief, and Attaining Absolute Peace  Deekay | Book Review What is turbulence? Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...
