The Boy with a Hundred Questions | Questions of a kid | Book review

Book review:

As a teacher, I understand many kids face issues in solving riddles or have a deep fear of even seeking answers to their questions. Especially when it comes to maths,  many run away from their place saying, I will do it later. This is a simple trick for them to depart themselves from questions that they find difficult. Then I stumbled upon this book, that says, "The Boy With Hundred Questions", I got intrigued by his questions.

"The Boy with a Hundred Questions" is the story of a young child who has many questions. His quest takes him on a journey through the big ideas that make up faith, the teachings of various belief systems, the connections between faith and science and how all these together make us humans who we are.

This is a sweet story about a boy called, "Shunya". He is mocked by his friends about his name meaning zero. He was so curious about knowing why he was named so despite his parents having such a beautiful name. One day when he gets to know about his father's achievement about doppelgangers. His quest reaches another peak.

It is intriguing to read about how he discovers varied things and discovers the reality of life. He embarks on an enchanting journey through mystical tales, mind-blending beliefs and profound philosophies.

The book aims to open up conversations on various aspects of faith. It hopes to encourage children to ask questions without fear or hesitation, learn about traditional beliefs, respect and accept diversity, treat every individual and community equally, celebrate cultural co-existence, put together their own personal ideas of faith and help build a peaceful world.

Overall, this is a book about the ways of life, mysteries of the natural and supernatural realms, the process of self-discovery and more. Highly recommended!

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness by Deekay

Taming the Turbulent Mind: Yogic Meditation and Mindfulness for Combating Overthinking, Achieving Stress Relief, and Attaining Absolute Peace  Deekay | Book Review What is turbulence? Any thoughts, or have you ever tried to tame any animal? I remember watching circus shows organised once a year in the city's open area for all the locals to enjoy. There I used to cherish the person who tamed the elephants or the lion (if any). But today I thought of taming my mind. Every second our thoughts are randomly moving and giving us goosebumps. Nowadays people have so many threads of work looming in their minds that they feel like completing but fail to prioritise. To dive into a river is not easy. But only a few people have the calibre to do that. The same is true with diving in your mind. This practice needs calmness of mind and anxiety levels to be very low. I had heard about meditation and its techniques to apply in your daily routine, but when I stumbled upon this book, my myths w...
