Furthermore, Zeenat's parents are keen on arranging her marriage to Ali. Stories for Odd Hearts: a short story collection by Amitt Behll | Book review

Book review:

"Stories of Odd Hearts" by Amit Behll is a collection of short stories that delve deep into the psychology of human behaviour and bring out hard-hitting facets of life. Though the author has used fictional themes to drive his points across you cannot miss the melancholy hidden in each of the stories. Though each story revolves around a certain theme of society I would like to point out the stories that deeply impacted me.

In the story, "The Boy Who Ate Pencils and Became One" the author addresses a child's need, especially when he develops wrong habits. Are children seeking attention? Do children try to hide or eat up something else?

In the story, "The Sob Story" the author brings forward the pitiful condition of whores. Do prostitutes dive in this field on their own or circumstances drew them so harshly towards this field? What is the sob story of these whores that they hide under their pretty faces?

The author showcased his unique storytelling and evocative presentation of human emotions that go unnoticed. His writing style is refreshingly different, steering clear of the typical love stories and mythological fiction that saturate the market.

Overall, "Stories for Odd Hearts" provides a rejuvenating escape, encouraging you to embrace the uniqueness of humanity. It's a heartfelt tribute to the peculiar heart within each of us. Worth reading, do grab it!
